"What are you, a coffee addict?"
Mark's eyes narrowed as he laughed softly, closing the door of the shop behind him. He noticed the empty cafe and pulled down his mask. Behind the counter, Gyuri was cleaning some machinery and smiled as the boy stood in front of her.
"9 iced americano's, 4 latte's and 6 Frappuccino's, please,"
"Jesus," Gyuri exclaimed, halting her work. "How many friends have you got?"
Mark shook his head, chuckling. "I offered to get coffee for everyone today."
"Well, this is going to take a while."
"That's okay," he smiled, leaning on the counter. "I got you to keep me company, don't I?"
Gyuri raised her brows at his comment. "Who says I'm going to keep you company?"
"Me,"
She scoffed. "Please." She turned her back to him to get all the different cups, lining them up in the order she'd be using them.
"What time do you get off?"
She gasped, putting a hand on her heart. "Oh my god, are you flirting with me?"
"What? Dude- no, I just... wanted to hang out with you," Mark said as he ran a hand through his hair before placing his cap back on. He looked at her expectedly, but the loud sound of the coffee machine filled the air. Gyuri stood behind it, giving him a customer smile at which he laughed.
"Sounds good," she simply said once the sound died down again and she turned to a different part of the bar.
"Yeah? I'll be done around nine today, so..."
"Are you waiting for me to invite you to my apartment, Mark?"
"... yes,"
She shot him a look as she placed some caps on the americanos and put them aside. "Sure, just come over when you're done."
"Great," he smiled.
"My roommate will be home, but she's great so don't worry."
"What's her name?"
"Shin Mina," Gyuri said. She turned on the loud machine again, forcing the conversation to a halt. She chuckled as she saw Mark patiently waiting for the noise to stop. His eyes closely followed Gyuri's movements, fascinated by her skill and knowledge of these big machines. He surely could never do that and imagined he'd break something within the first ten seconds of trying.
"Are you working the entire day?" Mark asked once the machine had stopped and Gyuri shook her head.
"Nah, I get off in an hour. I have a lecture later."
Mark nodded. "How long are the lectures you have?"
"Uh," Gyuri said as she cleaned part of a machine. "They're not all the same length, but today's one is three hours."
