3rd person pov

Iku and watanuki have been a couple for about a few weeks or so and they haven't even kissed yet all because they decided to take things slow

Iku's pov

I was brushing my hair and putting my hair up in my usual twin ponytails I've made it a habit to put my hair up now only because watanuki seems to like it

"So your going on a date to the festival with watanuki" my dad said "yes it's going to have fireworks as well I just can't wait" I said

My parents met watanuki at one point and they both approved of him of course "so what are you going to wear" dad asked

"Mom's kimono" I said dad looked at me a bit surprised "what it's a traditional festival" I said as I pushed him out of my room so I could get changed

I changed into the kimono and I heard the doorbell ring as I put a hairstick in my hair I breathed in and smiled at myself

Watanuki's pov

"Hey watanuki your here to take my daughter on a date right" Mr niwa said "yes sir" I said "iku your boyfriends here" Mr niwa said

"Coming" I heard iku say as I saw her in a beautiful kimono "ready to go" I said "yes I am ready as I'll ever be" she said as I walked her to the festival

We were on the grass watching the stars "hey watanuki I think the fireworks are going to go off soon" iku said as she held onto my hand I smiled and kissed her forehead

Iku's pov

I looked at watanuki and smiled "hey could you sing me a song iku" he said "ok" I said as I cleared my throat and started singing

I heard the fireworks go off as I looked up and smiled "hey hir..." watanuki kissed me on the lips and I closed my eyes this is what I call a happy ending
