3rd person pov

Kagami had finally agreed to be Rikuo's girlfriend and they were going to have their first date after school at the night festival with rikuo in human form

Rikuo's pov

I was walking the streets as the normal route I used to go to school 'I can't believe she's finally my girlfriend' I thought to myself blushing immensely

I sighed dreamily as I looked up at the sky "looks like it's a perfect night for a date" I said as I looked across from me and saw kagami I walked up to her

"Good morning kagami" I said she looked at me "good morning" she said "so are you excited for our first date" I said with a smile on my face

"Well do you mind if we keep it between us I don't want to make our relationship public yet" kagami said 'I totally knew she was going to say that' I thought to myself

"Sure we'll take it slow if you want I don't mind" I said "it feels weird saying that we're in a relationship" she said "I can understand that" I said

"We better get going we don't want to be late for school or else we will definitely be scolded for it" I said grabbing her hand and dragging her over

At school...

Kagami's pov

I was writing down in my notebook a private journal I kept to myself by research that I had done listing some facts and wrote it down

-In some cases even a normal human can become a youkai under the right conditions. Gensokyo youkai tend to live within the wilderness-

-Far away from human settlements. Normal youkai seem to behave like wild animals, attacking humans within their territory on sight-

-It is said that the vast majority of Yokai are born from the emotions of human, especially the powerful emotions of fear, yearning or hate-

-But there are other ways for a Yokai to come into being: 1. From the violence of natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, windstorms or volcanic eruptions-

-One of the oldest examples of yokai art was the Hyakki Yagyo Zu, a 16th century scroll that portrayed a pandemonium of Japanese monsters-

-In modern times, nurarihyon is seen as the supreme commander of the yokai and is a prominent figure in history-

-In the past, nurarihyon was an obscure figure that was eventually used to depict the social hierarchy of Edo Japan-

"Kagami chan" I heard and looked up from my notes "do you think bakemono exist" kana asked "if Yokai exist theirs a slight possibility that bakemono exist as well" I said

This thought made kana shiver "so kujo san do you have any plans for heading to the festival" shima said "not that it's any of your business but yes I do" I said

"Such a cold response" shima said "so your going with someone" maki said "who are you going with" torii said I huffed in annoyance

'This is getting pretty annoying these guys keep asking me such stupid questions' I thought to myself as I rubbed my brows tiredly

"Have you ever seen a yokai kujo kun" kiyotsugu said I smacked him "it's none of your business even if I did tell you I'm going home first" I said leaving the classroom

I walked slowly as I heard footsteps walk closer to me "you certainly caught up quickly" I said glancing at rikuo "it's not hard to reach you" he said

We then went to the festival and looked around "wow this place looks amazing look at all the stalls" a little girl said it kind of reminded me of how I was when I was younger

"You ok kagami?" Rikuo said "yeah just reminiscing is all" I said he gave me a box of dango 'my favorite' I thought I looked at rikuo

"I remembered their your favorite dessert shall we go find a place to sit down and eat I'll go get some meat buns to eat" he said

I sat down on the grass as we both ate our meat buns "the fireworks should be going off any second now" rikuo said as I looked at the sky

"My cousin iku went with her boyfriend to the spring festival I heard they had a fun time" I said "Right iku your super excited cousin right" he said

"The same" I said "She won't stop talking about him it's like she's a broken record whenever she calls me it's always about him" I said

"Hiro is so amazing, hiro made me lunch, hiro is an amazing kisser, it's like she has her whole life revolving around him since he's her first love and first boyfriend" I said rikuo sweatdropped

"It sounds a bit crazy but I'm sure it'sone of the many qualities she admires about him" rikuo said as I looked at him "just like how I admire you" he said linking our fingers together

I blushed "shut up idiot" I said blushing immensely as the fireworks went off and we both looked up enjoying the light show that went on in the night sky
