Tk's body tried to shut down he was trying to leave but the doctors got him back it felt as if caeloa's heart stopped until the doctors got tk back into a normal rythum
Carlos went back into the room sitting where he was a few minutes ago he grabbed tks hand taking it into hid own.
" I need you okay? I'm not ready for you to leave ." Carlos said looking at tk " I want us to get a dog and I want you to move in with me I have for awhile now but I've been just to scared to ask you .." Carlos said a his eyes started watering " I know you think I would be better without you but I wouldn't I love you so much and I can't - I wouldn't know what to do with myself if you were gone .." Carlos said running his fingers through Tk's hair
Carlos slept the whole night on the hospital couch waking up to see Nancy next to him " I don't think tk would want you sleeping here." She said gently Carlos sat up and stretched his back " maybe go home get some sleep in your own bed get a shower ,get changed , eat something ." Nancy said " tk flatlined last night .." Carlos said " and we almost lost him ..." Carlos said looking at tk " if I leave and he flatlines Again and the doctors can't get him back I will never forgive myself ." Carlos said " the doctors have him stable it's only gonna be a few hours I'll stay here with him okay ." Nancy said
Days went passed he watched as the nurses brought in a bunch of machines all that we're keeping tk alive machines has to keep tk alive because he couldn't do it himself he was simply to weak the doctors had told him this morning that they are gonna give tk till Friday which was two days away if he wasn't awake by then they would have to take him off all the machines meaning tk would die
They had put a timeline on tks life this can't be the end he's not ready, he's not ready, they cannot end as this Carlos thought to himself
Not only would Tk die but all their memories would to Carlos didn't want to forget tk but it was inevitable go forget some things over time the sound of tks laugh, how pretty his eyes looked the way tks smile lit up a room this was unfair
It wasn't fair he didn't want this to happen. This should be happening
Thursday came around Carlos for dressed to hear over to the hospital but when he came Nancy was in tks room and the nurse just gave Carlos a smiled it couldn't be true the ventilator was gone had they taken tk off early? But when Carlos stood in the doorway Nancy looked over at tk " look who came to see you ." Nancy smiled as tk turned his head tiredly a soft weak smile appeared on tks face " hi baby.." tk mumbled " im gonna give you guys a minute ." Nancy smiled Carlos walked over to tks bed " breath ." tk reminded Carlos Carlos let himself breathe. For the first time in days he breathes. His entire body is shaking, everything in his mind is a question, but he's breathing and T.K. is breathing
Tk reached out for Carlos Carlos grabs hold of tla hand before going in for a hug Carlos burying his face in tks neck only coming out to kiss tks cheek Slowly he curls his fingers into T.K.'s hair "I'm sorry," T.K. whispers his words faint Carlos isn't sure what he's apologizing for " you saved a little boys life ." Carlos said " you did nothing wrong." said "Okay," T.K. says, a weak hand clutching the back of Carlos' shirt.
Carlos dosen't want to let go but the doctors will want to examine T.K., run tests, check his neuro function. It took all the strength in carlos's to let go of tk and sit in the chair although he continued to hold tks hand
Later that night after the doctors ran their test the two sat together in the room
"You look terrible ." tk said stroking Carlos's hand "gee see your keeping the romance alive ." carlos said " shut up - have you eaten ?" Tk asked
" im okay you don't need to go into paramedic mode ." Carlos said " no wonder why you and my mother get along so well ," Carlos says with a little laugh only to be met by tks concerned expression " im fine I promise ." Carlos said
"You should get home get some rest ." tk said " I can sleep here ." Carlos protested " you look like your ready to fall over.." tk said examining Carlos " you need a break im not gonna slip back into a coma if you leave ." tk said " it's okay im okay ." Carlos said giving tk a reassuring smile
When he woke up Marjan was standing next to him " cmon your going home ." Marjan said " but -" Carlos tried to protest " babe you need to go home ." Tk said " yeah I'll stay with Jack Frost while you go and sleep I don't wanna see you back here till Tomorrow." Nancy said
Carlos accepted defeat and placed a kiss on Tk's forehead "I'll be back soon," he says. Although he knows he's gonna go home and crash so hard
"Get some rest," Tk says . "I love you."
"I love you too."Carlos smiled
