In a matter of minutes she was gone there was nothing he could do about it
Tk was still at home he would be for a few more days Tommy wanted him to recover both mentally and physically meaning he still had a few days to stay home with his boyfriend and enjoy one another's company Tk had began therapy after everything that happened with Alex and it was helping it would still be with him for awhile but right now it was progress

"So how are you doing ?" Carlos asked chopping veggies "I'm okay -" TK said being cut off by his phone "do you want me to call her back later ?" Tk asked looking at Carlos "no take it you can continue telling me how much you love me later ." Carlos laughed "shut up ." Tk laughed

"Hey nance ." Tk said getting off the barstool " hey.. what are you doing right now ?" Nancy asked as she paced around the bathroom " was just talking to c Arlo she's making dinner ." Tk smiled looking at Carlos chopping veggies "your welcome to come over you can whip Carlos's butt in monopoly again ." Tk laughed " no - you guys do your thing I just um -" Nancy pause " I love you T ." Nancy said "I love you - hey what's going on ." Tk asked "nothing I just I need you to know that I love you ." Nancy said she sounded out of breath "Nancy are you okay ?" Tk asked looking at Carlos " I've got a go T-" Nancy slurred " Nancy I'm coming over don't hang up ." Tk said grabbing his coat "I love you t." She said once before and then the call hung up

"What's going on ?" Carlos asked Turing off the stove " I think Nancy's trying to kill herself ." Tk said
When they pulled up to Nancy's house Tk wasted no time getting out of the car he used his key as Carlos followed "Nancy ?" Tk called he looked around her bedroom " are we sure she's here ?" Carlos said "water-." Tk said running to the bathroom

What came next was out of a horror movie Nancy was in the tub blood surrounding her water was all over the floor Tk rushed over to Nancy
As carlos dialed 911 he saw all the cuts that leaked blood up and down her arms "cmon Nancy ." Tk said after getting no pulse Tk started CPR but it was no use another medical unit came pushing Tk out of the way so they could pronounce Nancy as dead carlos took Tk into his arms but Tk couldn't take his eyes off Nancy as they put her into a body bag

"We should go get some fresh air -" Carlos said " this isn't healthy for you ." Carlos said

Later that night after man hand washes his hands were still tinted red Tk got dressed in his work uniform "babe are you sure you should be going to work -." Carlos asked shyly " my best friend killed herself today so it either go to work or sit here and think about it until I drive myself crazy and kill myself to -." Tk said " I'm sorry -" Tk said a Carlos brought Tk in for a hug

"Do what you need to but I'm here -" Carlos said "and if you need anything -." Carlos said "ill call I promise ." Tk said looking up at Carlos

Tk walked not the Locker room putting his stuff away "Tk you - you weren't supposed to be back for a few more days -." Paul said " decided to come back early -." Tk sighed Hanging his coat in his locker " bud I know you having a hard time -" Marjan said " I came here because its either that or drive myself crazy at home ." Tk said

Tk walked out of the Locker room leaving the rest of the team there "let him go he's grieving ." Paul said " he has Carlos and if Carlos let him come he had good reasoning we will all keep a good eye on him -" Judd said

" Tk I wasn't expecting you back ." Tommy said "um - yeah ." Tk played with his anxiously his hands that were still stained from earlier
"What's all this -." Tk said looking at the stack or applications " there applications for the new paramedic .." Tommy said " but cap - we can replace her - she's family ." Tk said " we need to fill the spot Tk .. I'm sorry ." Tommy said " ill do extra shifts ." Tk said " everything she did ill do it to -." Tk said pacing around Tommy's office " and if you get hurt -." Tommy said " Tk I know she was your friend ." Tommy said " my best friend ." Tk said " but you can do that all by yourself ." Tommy said " she just died this morning and your ready trying to replace her ." Tk said " cause we need the help Tk I loved Nancy but we need the help ." Tommy said "I'm gonna leave it up to you here are some candidates take them home look over then we an call them in for an interview for tomorrow I'm gonna need an answer by the end of day ." Tommy said "your benching me ?" Tk said " your grieving Tk - just for today ."

Tk came home seeing Carlos doing dishes "thats my job -." Tk sighed "you should have left it ." Tk sighed sitting on the counter " I think you've had enough scrubbing for the day ." Carlos said rubbing Tk's hands " she benched me ." Tk said " she sent me home with these ." Tk said giving Carlos the applications "for me to pick for Nancy's replacement ......" Tk said " and you don't want to ." Carlos said " no she was like a second sister to me I don't even wanna think about replacing her ." Tk said

" I understand your grieving baby but did you consider that when Tim died Nancy had to pick someone and she picked you and looked what happened you guys became best friends ." Carlos said "I know its the last thing you want to do right now but it might not that bad and it doesn't replace Nancy nobody ever will it just opens up the next chapter .." Carlos said rubbing Tks leg

"I'm gonna make you some tea ." Carlos said " she was struggling and she couldn't even talk to me about it -." Tk said " maybe she didn't want the help .." Carlos said " this is not on you okay ." Carlos said handing Tk his mug " this is sleepy time tea isn't it ." Tk said looking at Carlos " yes so lets get you to bed before you fall asleep on the counter ." Carlos laughed

They got in bed as tk rested his head on Carlos's shoulder "I don't deserve you ." Tk said sipping his tea "you deserve the world ." Carlos said kissing Tk's head "I'm starting to think the world hates me ." Tk sighed putting his mug on the nightstand " I think you just have some bad luck ." Carlos said "not with you I got the best boyfriend in the world ." Tk mumbled "thats funny because I could have sworn I won that competition." Carlos teased "can I sleep here tonight ?" Tk said plating Carlos's chest "you don't even have to ask ." Carlos said kissing Tk's head before taking off his tank top laying down Tk laid his head right over Carlos's heartbeat "I'm happy I met you ." Tk mumbled " me to baby ." Carlos said running his hand up the back of Tk's hoodie rubbing his back

Within a matter of minutes Tk was asleep he was alive he was asleep on Carlos's chest and thats when Tk knew he wanted this forever

The next day he went to Owen's place he had an idea but he needed some help

"Carlos !" Owen said opening his front door "hey could I talk to you about something .." Carlos said nervously

Carlos sat down on the barstool in the kitchen "what's going on ." Owen said getting Carlos a coffee " I'm kinda just gonna rip the bandaid off I wanna marry your son -." Carlos said " I love him and I can't see my future without him -." Carlos said "Carlos you already know my answer is yes ." Owen smiled "there is nobody else who I trust with my son more ." Owen said " there's one more thing .." Carlos said
"I was wondering if I could have a piece or two of Gwynn's jewelry I want to make Tk a costume engagement ring and I was thinking -" Carlos said "thats a beautiful idea Carlos ."

Carlos picked out a necklace that Gwynn wore all the time in photos Tk had shown him and head home to figure out how he wanted it
when Carlos got home Tk wrapped him in a hug " hi what's going on ." Carlos asked "I picked someone ." Tk sighed into carlos's chest "thank you for helping me ." Tk said as Carlos kissed his head " I missed you ." Tk said "where'd you go ?" Tk asked " just to see my mom ." Carlos said " how's she doing ?" Tk asked "good ." Carlos smiled "you wanna go cuddle and watch grand-designs?" Tk asked " after I make dinner I would love to ." Carlos said "can I help" Tk asked " you think you can chop carrots and not your fingers ?" Carlos teased "shut up ." Tk said

They sat watching there sho when Tk turner to look at Carlos from his lap "you know your a big part of my recovery right .." Tk said holding Carlos's hand to his chest " the other night when I came home I had gotten into a fight with my dad and I was just really upset and thats what I tend to do- um I went in the bedroom and I just couldn't I don't know -" Tk said

" I never did that before - it seems stupid but I never stopped to ask for help .. and you were seriously great -." Tk said "I'm always here if you need me ." Carlos said as his phone rang by this Tim it was around 12 'who's calling you this late ?" Tk asked "its my dad ." Carlos said

"Carlitos your mother has had a stroke -." Gabriel said
