Carlos was making breakfast when Tk came downstairs in his work uniform "mind putting this back on for me ?" Tk asked holding his necklace which held his ring "you can leave it here if your worried about it ." Carlos said "I want to wear it but I don't want to ruin it so I can just wear it this way ." Tk smiled "all set ." Carlos said placing a kiss onto the back of Tk's neck
"You want me to drive you and then after your shift we can go do something ?" Carlos asked "if you want I don't want to mess up your day off." Tk said "nonsense ." Carlos smiled
Carlos had dropped Tk off at work and Tk gave him a kiss on the head before heading inside they had agreed to wait to tell anyone till they told there parents on Sunday when they all had dinner together so Tk kept his pendant tucked inside close to his heart he had gone into the locker room where Lucy sat on the bench trying to catch her breath drastically
Tk walked in slowly as Lucy looked at him trying to catch her breath "I'm fine -." Lucy chocked out Tk sat next to her "I think your having a panic attack .." Tk said Lucy looked at him she was scared "look at me ." Tk said "deep breath in .." Tk said "deep breath out ." They did that a few times over as Lucy calmed down "I'm sorry I don't know what got into me -." Lucy said standing up "I'm not mad you know you didn't do anything wrong -." Tk said "Lucy -." Tk said Lucy turned to look at Tk "you did nothing wrong .." Tk assured her "your a good paramedic ." Tk gave her a small smile "take all the time you need ill be restocking the rig ." Tk said giving her a smile " Tk - ." Lucy said "thank you ." Lucy said " I'm here whenever you need me ."
Tk went downstairs heading to the kitchen to get a water "hey t want some waffles" Paul asked "I'm okay I ate before I left." Tk smiled
Tk put his AirPods in and started restocking the truck Lucy came down hopping in the truck with Tk "I have anxiety ." She blurted out Tk took his ear plugs out "that's okay ." Tk said "I just I don't want you to think that I'm not able to do my job cause I assure you -" Lucy said as Tk cut her off
"Anxiety and depression -." Tk said "believe me I don't think any less of you ." Tk gave her a smile
"So when's the date ?" Lucy asked with a smile "what ?" Tk asked confused " your necklace when you were helping me it peaked through your uniform .." Lucy smiled "I'm guessing you to weren't going to tell anyone yet?" Lucy asked " we have to tell our parents on Sunday we were gonna wait till after .." Tk smiled " I like him ." Lucy said " he makes you happy You deserve to be happy." Lucy smiled
" My sister used to say that ." Tk laughed "used to ?" She asked " she died when I was five ." Tk said " I'm sorry -." Lucy said "its fine ." Tk said giving her a smile "well you secrets safe with me ." Lucy smiled "thanks ." Tk smiled
Later that day Carlos picked Tk up from work " how was your day ?" Carlos asked "interesting ." Tk laughed "what did you get up to ." Tk asked " well I went grocery shopping reorganized -" Carlos said as headlight came towards then "what the hell is this idiot doing ." Carlos said trying to get over that was until another car came slamming in the passenger side of the car door Before the car went over the side of the road
Their car was in a ditch -
That was the first thing Carlos noticed he had a concussion he brought his hand to the side of his forehead the liquid coating the side of it was blood he was bleeding he dialed 911
"911 what's your emergency?" Grace said
"Grace -." Carlos said out of breath
"Carlos honey is that you ?" Grace said
" there's a car crash ." Carlos said
"Sweetheart I'm going to track your phone and send some help to your location are you the only one in the car ?" Grace asked
Carlos wasn't alone -
He looked over to the passengers seat and there was Tk his head against The broken window and blood in his lower stomach
"Oh my god-." Carlos mumbled
"Tk was with me - I picked him up from work Grace - he's bleeding ." Carlos mumbled " okay sweetheart im sending you to help im going to patch Tommy into the call okay she will tell you what you do ."
"Carlos honey we are on our way what's going on ?" Tommy asked " idiot hit us they hit the passengers side Tk he's -" Carlos said " Tommy he's hurt badly ." Carlos said " okay can you see if he's got a pulse ?" Tommy said Carlos put his fingers to Tk's neck " its there's but its slow ." Carlos said "okay sweetie you did good where is he bleeding?" Tommy asked " his head and stomach ." Carlos said "okay Carlos I'm going to need you to apply pressure on his stomach you have to push really hard you need to stop the bleeding ."
"What if I hurt him ?" Carlos said " thats okay we just need to stop the bleeding until we get there ." Tommy said
Carlos took his sweatshirt off using to apply pressure on Tk's wound
It wasn't long before the team got there "cmon lets get you out of here ." Judd said opening Carlos's door " I can't leave him Judd." Carlos said "Carlos they have to pry his door off he's gonna be okay but we need to check you out ." Judd said " I promise we're gonna get him out ." Carlos let Judd lead in to the ambulance where Lucy waited to check him out "Tommy said you did a good job applying pressure to the wound ." Lucy said treating Carlos's head wound " why don't they have him out yet ?" Carlos asked " they have to pry the door open that takes a few minutes ." Lucy said " do you wanna go wait in the ambulance " I need to make sure he's okay .." Carlos said
Carlos watched as they finally got the door off Owen lifted Tk onto the gurney and Tommy hooking him up to multiple machines
Then what cam next scared Carlos Tk's line when flat " we should get you to the ambulance." Lucy suggested he watched as Tommy did CPR on Tk but then Tk's line came back "thank god ..'' Carlos said letting out his breath he was holding
When Carlos woke up he was in the hospital his parents sitting in the chairs next to him " Carlitos .' His mom said with a smile "where's Tk .." Carlos said " he's recovering from surgery mijo ." Andrea said "he's okay ?" Carlos asked " yeah he's out of it but he's okay the doctors say the surgery was a successful .." Gabriel said " I wanna go see him -." Carlos said sitting up " not till tomorrow sweetheart .." Andrea said
"The doctors said that you can be discharged tomorrow at 8 they just need to make sure that this is just a concussion and not anything more serious
Owen switched with Andrea and Gabriel so they could see Tk and he could see Carlos "is Ty awake ?" Carlos asked " he's knocked out cold ." Owen said with a little laugh " after surgery they said it would take a little while for the sedation to wear off he's lucky you were there ." Owen said "I barley did anything if anything I did more harm then good ." Carlos sighed "he's alive because of you whether you believe it or not and you know Carlos would tell you the same thing ." Owen said
"So did you beat him to it or did he beat you to it ?" Owen smiled gesturing to the ring on Carlos's finger as he pulled Tk's 252 necklace out of his pocket "you knew he was planning on proposing -." Carlos said " yeah I was wondering which one of you would do it first ." Owen smiled " I believe this belongs to you you can give it to Tk when you see him tomorrow ." Owen said giving carlos Tk's necklace
The next morning carlos went back to the loft to change into some different clothes bring a few things for Tk before heading to Tk's room
Tk was asleep still when carlos came in he had a nasty head gash and the doctors had told him that when the car crashed that a shard of glass had impaled his stomach and they had to remove it And that he had a grade 3 concussion
Carlos sat down taking Tk's hand into his own sliding his engagement ring off his 252 necklace and back onto his finger " hey baby ." Tk mumbled " hey thats a nasty head gash you got there ." Carlos teased " your okay ?" Tk said examining Carlos's appearance " I'm okay just a concussion head wound .." Carlos said
"Here .." Carlos said putting Tk's 252 meditation over his neck " thanks .." Tk sighed " our parents may have figured out our little secret .." Carlos teased " I'm pretty sure my moms already planning the wedding ." Carlos laughed " I don't care I just want to marry you ." Tk sighed " me to baby ." Carlos said kissing Tk's head
