2 months later
It had been a long 2 months Tk filled us time organizing their kitchen over and over along with the rest of their house studying his paramedic textbooks over and over and more organizing
Carlos told him that he was pushing himself to hard but Tk was bored usually his time was filled by work and 126 hangs and doing stuff with Carlos but now it was organizing ,studying , lots of puzzles and chemo and of course the occasional puke session
They still had 126 hangs they just weren't as often because Tk was often to sick or tired so they had to cancel which made Tk feel worse
Carlos had gone to work leaving Tk home alone with the promise that he'd be home by 6 and watch a movie or cuddle
Tk had chemo at 10 he got home around 1 ish and no he sat on the floor of the laundry room organizing when a knock came at the door
Tk got off the floor heading to the door to see Lucy " hey nance ." Tk said " hey bud thought we could hang out ." Lucy said " did Carlos send you to check on me ?" Tk asked letting her inside " no actually I miss you it's so boring at work without you ." she said placing her stuff down
"Trust me i want to be their more than ever ." Tk said closing the door.
" your guys house looks straight out of a organizing magazine." Lucy said Tk coughed covering his mouth " you okay ?" Nancy asked " yeah fine ." Tk said " you look tired did you do chemo this morning?" Lucy asked
" yeah ." Tk said brushing it off he didn't want to talk about chemo or cancer anymore he was tired of it he just wanted life back Tk normal
"So I got a date tonight ." Lucy said " with who ?" Tk smiled " Marjan .." luna said "no way !" Tk said " yes way ." Lucy smiled " Jesus I leave and you get a date with Marjan !" Tk said
They hung out for a little and did a puzzle and watching something that came out on Netflix
Luna was on her way out when she noticed Tk leaning against the door " you okay bud ?" She asked concerned "mhm ." Tk said out of breath " are you sure ?" Lucy said " promise - go have fun on your date and text me how it went ." Tk said
Shortly after Lucy left Tk cleaned up and got back to organizing the laundry room when he started feeling worse Tk leaned against the washer steadying himself Tk took a few deep breaths before putting another load of wash in
He needed to be useful if he was going to be home he wanted to be useful so Carlos could come home and relax
Tk felt a hand on his shoulder Tk's active reflex came in turning around and slapping his fiancé who a few seconds ago seemed like and intruder "sorry - I mm ." Tk said bringing his hand to Carlos's cheek " did you not here me come in ?" Carlos asked softly Tk had taken a second to think but nothing came to mind " mm sorry ." Tk said " it's fine babe wouldn't be the first time you slapped me on accident ." Carlos assured Tk with a little laugh
"What's got you so jumpy ?" Carlos asked wrapping his hands around Tk's waist " nothing .. you just scared me -." Tk said out of breath giving Carlos a small smile " you look pale are you feeling okay ?" Carlos said
" I'm just feeling off I think I'm gonna go lay down .." Tk said " probably pushed to hard -" Tk said softly "babe I appreciate what your doing I really do but you should be letting your body rest -" Carlos said kissing Tk's head "yeah .." Tk said making his way out of the laundry room "I'm gonna get a shower and a bite and I'll meet you okay ?" Carlos said kissing Tk's cheek
Tk laid in bed covering himself up with the blankets he's never felt this bad -
When Carlos got out of the downstairs shower he got changed and sweats and a t shirt and headed upstairs
Tk was shivering but asleep so Carlos got another blanket out of the cabinet putting it on-top of him
Before going to sleep
Tk woke up in the middle of the night in worse pain then he was when he went to sleep he was freezing his body ached he could barley keep his eyes open "los-" Tk said trying to catch his breath
"Mm what's the matter?" Carlos said rubbing his eyes " something's wrong .." Tk managed to get out Carlos studied Tk's full state he looked worse they he did this afternoon and then he realized
He forgot to take Tk's temperature before bed
Next things Carlos knew he was in the waiting room of the hospital his leg practically bouncing off the floor until Owen came in
"Owen I'm really sorry I don't know how I forgot I - ." Carlos said on the verge of a panic attack " Carlos ." Owen said " thank you ." Owen said " why are you thanking me I'm the reason why he's in here ?" Carlos said " no your not son you did everything you could ." Owen said rubbing Carlos's hand
"Tk Strand ?" The doctor said Owen and Carlos stood up "he will be okay ." The doctor said softly " he had a pretty bad infection but we have him on a heavy dose of antibiotics ." The doctor said
