Tw / eating disorder , self harm
Tk waited up for Carlos he had played with Maya all night they watched the little mermaid and baked cookies and then Maya fell asleep

Tk had put Maya to bed making sure that she had her bunny nearby along with her night light that put little stars all over her room

Tk had been good at masking his whole life -

When he was struggling he would put on a brave face pretend -

It became nature to him even when he had people like Carlos who cared and who always were there to help Tk he lied

He lied all the time

Have you eaten - yes - no he couldn't remember the last time he had

Are you okay - yeah I'm fine - no I need help

Have you self harmed- no I'm okay - yes and it hurts all the time under my uniform under my jeans - the sting I feel in the shower

He had blocked Carlos out he hadn't let Carlos see his body

Because if he really saw it he would be disgusted how cut up his legs were how deep the wounds were -

But when Carlos came home and saw Tk still up he was surprised- maybe a little worried

Tk could barley make it through a movie at 7 o'clock and stay awake yet it was almost 1 and here he was sitting on the couch like it was no big deal

"Hey baby ." Carlos said kicking off his shoes "everything okay ?" Carlos asked " yeah - how was your shift ?" Tk asked " boring surprisingly- just glad to be home with my favorite person ." Carlos smiled putting his work bag in the closet " ready for bed ?" Carlos asked

"I lied ." Tk spoke out as he looked at his nails which he had been mutilating all day

" about ?" Carlos said looking at Carlos " everything being okay -" Tk mumbled "I'm really sorry ." Tk said as he started crying

Carlos walked over to the couch sitting next to Tk " Ty what's going on ?" Carlos said rubbing Tk's knee

"I've been cutting and I haven't been eating ..." Tk cried " I don't know how to fix it -" Tk cried " Tk -" Carlos said pulling Tk into his lap " I'm really sorry Carlos I'm really sorry ." Tk said as Carlos held him and just shushed him

"I've got you baby ." Carlos said rubbing Tk's back " I need help ." Tk cried into Carlos's neck " we're gonna get you some help okay ?" Carlos said " I promise ." Carlos said softly " I need help ." Tk cried " I know baby ." Carlos said stroking his back he could hear Tk's muffled cry's which made his heart hurt more

After things settled down a little

"Baby let me see .." Carlos said softly gesturing to Tk's legs " I can't you'll-" Tk said hesitantly " there ugly ." Tk said " nothing about you is ugly okay ." Carlos said Tk pulled down his sweatpants so Carlos could see Carlos ran his fingers over Tk's scars "baby -" Carlos said looking up at Tk who wouldn't make eye contact with him "how long has this been going on ?" Carlos said

"A few months.." Tk sniffled pulling his sweats up
"Why didn't you say anything ?" Carlos asked as Tk walked around the room " I didn't want to be a burden - and now we have Maya -it's a lot on your plate . I didn't want to bag you " Tk said getting under the covers " Tk - it's on both of our plates I agree it's a-lot but we share it okay ? We have to be able to lean on each other ." Carlos said moving up on the bed

"Is this why you've been so distant?" Carlos asked they hadn't had sex in a few months Tk would always make a excuse to why they couldn't
" I didn't want you to have to look at me ." Tk said wiping his face with his hoodie sleeve

"Baby - ." Carlos said " Carlos I'm hideous I'm practically a skeleton and my legs they - there ugly ." Tk said " you don't deserve that ." Tk said looking at Carlos " I think you beautiful." Carlos said softly " I don't care about any of that okay -" Carlos said " I love you for you -" Carlos said

"Cmon let's gets some sleep it's late okay ?" Carlos said " i don't think I can -" Tk said " I'm here I help you ." Carlos said softly
