"Tyler Kennedy ?" The doctor called walking out of Tk's room Carlos stood up quickly almost losing his balance "he's okay we have given him another dose of Narcan to get the morphine out of his system along with a sedative to keep him calm and out of pain for some time -." The doctor said
"But he will be fine right ?" Carlos asked " long term yes he has a lot of bruising and he broke two ribs he has a concussion as well he will be in pain for a while but it will fade over time but there is something else that I need to get you to sign off on but it's confidential-." The doctor said
Carlos stepped aside with the doctor " as Tk's medical proxy in the case we need permission for a type of treatment we need you to sign off on it ." The doctor sighed " when we did our full examination he had fresh tearing and bleeding there were signs of struggle..." the doctor said
"You mean -." Carlos said " he was raped .." the doctor said looking back in Tk's room where he was asleep " we need your permission to complete a rape kit for the authorities." The doctor said " I think that would do more damage than good right now doc ." Carlos said " okay when he wakes up he will be drowsy and not really know what's going on. It will wear off soon after and then he will be aware just try to avoid any stressful topics he doesn't need more stress ."
Carlos stood in the doorway looking at tk he looked peaceful but the bruises and welts that are on his arms remind him of the days events not to mention the ones that lay across his abdomen
Carlos made his way over the the bedside taking Tk's hand into his own intertwining their fingers once more
They stayed like that for a while Carlos spent the empty time dwelling on the past few hours tk was dead-

" missed you, baby ." Carlos said "I was worried about you ." Carlos said kissing Tk's hand "mhm no worry -." Tk said clearly out of it "where dad?" Tk questioned looking around the room. " he's on his way ." Carlos lied he had tried desperately to get in touch with Owen yet no use
"What about mom?" Tk questioned Gwyn- tk was asking for Gwyn- Gwyn was dead -
"She's in New York sweetheart -." Carlos said " mm." Tk mumbled " tired ..." tk mumbled " go back to sleep baby ." Carlos said " stay -" tk said " I will ." Carlos said "promise ." Tk said " I promise baby."
Carlos had waited till tk had fallen asleep to slip his hand out of Tk's and head out to the waiting room to see the rest of the 126 was out there all waiting for an update on their friend's condition
" Sorry he woke up, he was kinda drowsy, he's okay though he's sleeping again -" Carlos said everyone took a good breath " we're all here if you need us - both of you ." Grace assures Carlos "yeah anything you need we got it - " Paul assures
" Has anyone heard from Owen I can't get in touch with him? I've tried multiple times -" Carlos asked " no but I'll go find him -." Judd says getting up " do you need anything else ?" Marjan asks
" Could someone swing by the loft and just get some basics? Tk hates hospital gowns he prefers sweats and sweatshirts, stuff like that -." Carlos asked "please -." Carlos says " we got you ." Mateo said, clapping his shoulder, " thank you guys seriously ." Carlos said " anything you need we are here for both of you and your family ." Nancy said
Carlos went back into the room seeing the tk was stirring " lo-" Tk mumbled in his sleep "los-'' Tk said out of breath as Carlos took hold of his hand " shh you're okay baby ." Carlos had said
Tk woke up looking at Carlos trying to catch his breath "Los -" tk mumbled " I'm here baby your okay -" Carlos sighed tk tried to sit up letting a whine of pain escape with it "baby you need to rest." Carlos said but tk was on a mission he looked Carlos over " are you okay ? You're not hurt ?" Tk said looking for wounds "I'm okay baby but you need to lay down don't need you hurting yourself

"Tk mijo poor thing." Andrea said coming into Tk's hospital room "mom I didn't know you were coming." Carlos said " are you serious if one of my boys needs me I'm here ." Andrea said " you didn't have to come I'm fine -" Tk said softly " nonsense you both have spent enough time here for a lifetime ." Andrea said with a soft chuckle
"Cariño go get cleaned up, I'll stay with tk ." Andrea said "ma-" Carlos protested "Carlitos he will be fine." Andrea assured her son " I'll be back okay ?"
Carlos said kissing Tk's head "love you ." Tk said " love you too .." Carlos said
"You don't have to waste your day with me, I'll be okay ." Tk said "if one of my boys needs me I'll always be there ."'Andrea said " to me I consider you one of my boys ." Andrea said " Andrea-" tk said " your family - you brought our son back to life and for that I will always be grateful ."

They sat like that for a while until tk said " my dads not coming is he ?" Tk asked " I don't think so .."'Carlos said softly " I'm sorry ." Carlos said
"If my mom was alive she'd be here .." tk mumbled Carlos just kissed Tk's temple again as tk closed his eyes
