"Your grace, I came here to report," the man spoke behind Yoongi.
"What is it that you have to report that you had to leave your post at the South?" Yoongi answered without turning his face towards the man who has his one knee to the ground, eyes casted down to the floor.
"The king of the South has announced his engagement to duchess Y/n,"
As soon as those words left the man's mouth, Yoongi's blood starts to boil. Unlike any other king, Yoongi is quiet but all his men knew he's quiet because he is deadly. Everything boils inside him, he may seem calm but on the inside, he's like an erupting volcano. At this point, the spy knew better and needed to leave his office right away but he knew Yoongi needed more information so he bravely stayed at his post.
"What?" Yoongi with a devilish look on his face turns around to look at his spy. "The king did what now?" he repeated himself.
"They did not announce any date yet but everyone knew on his kingdom," the spy answered.
Hoseok entered Yoongi's office and walked pass the spy and straight to Yoongi.
"What do you mean what? You knew this was coming. Do not do anything stupid," he reprimanded his brother.
Yoongi ignored Hoseok and directed his next question to his spy. "What does Y/n think?"
"She looked happy and well your majesty," he answered. Although it was a bad news for Yoongi, he needed to answer him truthfully.
"Bullshit!" Yoongi cursed, fist all curled up, knuckles white and eyes menacing.
Hoseok motioned for the spy to leave and the spy scurried out of the office so fast, afraid for his life.
"You need to calm down. Let's be rational here," Hoseok tries to calm the king down.
"I am in no way letting Y/n marry that bastard. She's a hostage right? We need to go get her," Yoongi frantically walks towards the door.
Hoseok stops him before he could even reach it. "You saw her. You talked to her and you tried to harm Taehyung but ended up endangering her life. You think she will not do that again huh?! It was obvious that she cares about him. In all reality, Taehyung saved her!"
"I saved her!" Yoongi said, eyes wide.
"At the cost of her entire family! Even if she learns the truth about our move to save her, it will not change the fact that her entire family is dead, she only got Sunoo now,"
"I knew you loved her and I was alright with it but her marrying Taehyung?! I'd rather let her marry you than the enemy,"
Yoongi walks away with anger in his entire being. Mostly towards Taehyung and himself. He will never let him have you. Hoseok, who's left in his office can feel his chest constrict. Upon learning the news, he felt his world shatter around him. You were his everything and will stay the same. He knew this was coming and even though he said to himself that he is alright loving you from the distance, this news still shatters him. Mostly because he knew you deserved it and he couldn't have the chance to give it to you, the life you deserve.
He thought Yoongi could give it to you and gave way but in the end, Yoongi chose the wrong path. He knew how Yoongi loves you so much and how he is completely devastated as well. Him seeing Yoongi break down like that hurts too. You were their anchor and he knew that was so selfish of them. So when you left the North, they felt like they were lost too.
Hoseok tries to calm himself down. Because right now, he is the only sane person to make decisions for Yoongi. He knew he will do something stupid and will surely regret it sooner than later. He can't afford you hating him even more. You have another chance for a happy life and he doesn't want you to lose it again because of them.
Yoongi walks to his throne room. With all his might he tried to carry himself but as soon as he reached his throne, his knees cave in. Luckily, no one is there to watch him break down and succumb to his pained state. His knees hit the floor, hand gripping the arm rest of his throne, head hanging low and tears falling. Your image appears in his head, the day you said you love him. How your eyes glimmered when all of you thought she was betrothed to him, when you chose him for your first dance, when he gave you flowers and when he saw the spite in your eyes when he was there while your family and household were being beheaded.
"I will not let him have you, I swear I will never let anyone have you," he murmurs in anger.
"I will wait for the perfect time to bring you home Y/n,"
He swore to himself that no matter what it takes, he will bring you home.

Hey there! I'm trying to establish an update schedule for Royals of The South. I'm thinking MWF for single or double updates. It all depends now since I think I'm going to have to start working now. We'll see from now on since I double updated today.
