CHAPTER FIFTEEN

•‼️TW: PUKE, MENTION OF ROHYPHNOL‼️
"C'MON, one two three," lily huffed, hoisting charlotte up and carrying her out the back door of the bathroom to put behind the club, just so no one else would see them at catch pictures. "you still up?" she asked charlotte trying her best to sound chill.
charlotte groaned in response, "... i think he put something in my...drink," she mumbled though it was barely audible.
"yeah no shit babe," lily chuckled, letting the cold air hit charlotte slap in the face. "here," she said, grabbing an emergency water bottle out her purse and practically hosing it down charlotte's throat.
her head was spinning like no other, and given she's never taken rohyphnol before, her tolerance was low as hell, resulting in her mind to have no sense of what was going on, and her muscles to be so weak that she couldn't even raise her arm to hold onto lily.
and right on time, all too familiar black car rolled up the curb and honked its horn, and charlotte saw the blurry face of gracie abrams staring right at her through the window shield.
"thank fuck," lily sighed, dragging charlotte over to gracie's car where the brunette had opened the car door and was looking insanely worried.
"what happened, oh my god," gracie asked, helping lily place charlotte in the passenger seat and strapping her in. "char?"
"to put it as light as i can, a dude tried to fuck her the easy way," lily muttered. "and don't worry, i'm kicking his ass tomorrow."
gracie's eyes widened, her jaw practically dropped to the float and her hands shaking, "i-i didn't know she goes clubbing with um guys. was she seeing this dude?" gracie asked, her voice lowered now and sounding fragile.
lily shook her head, "no. no he was a guy i hung out with they just met. i don't know, i thought she was looking to meet people we were talking about it earlier but i didn't think... i don't know what he gave her."
"probaly roofie," gracie said, her voice beginning to crack. however, she then shook her head and the sadness on her face disappeared. "i-i'll take it from here i guess."
"thanks gracie. look i know you shouldn't be associated with charlotte, she told me all about it, i just didn't know who to call, and your contact was right there, i didn't know what to do i was going so fast," lily said.
gracie suddenly paused, "what's she been saying?"
lily knew she shouldn't be talking all this up, but she was too tipsy to stop herself, "just how she shouldn't be seeing you anymore. she thinks it's safe to like cut you off a little or start hooking up with people. not really sure how hooking up with people gets you guys under the radar, but she's strange," lily chuckled.
she began to turn around, leaving a stricken gracie, but then quickly turned on her heel and engulfed her into a hug, "thanks for taking her. tell her to call me when she's okay," lily gushed, looking once more at her chosen sister who was playing with her hair in the car.
"mhm," gracie nodded as lily left and she went back into her car where charlotte was starting to now fall asleep, head rolled back and was definitely blacking out. gracie looked at her with such content and warmth, her lip trembling with worry before she instinctively placed her hand on top of charlotte's.
"don't ever scare me like that, promise me," gracie whispered, so quietly that she could barely hear herself, as she learned forward and pressed a kiss to the top of charlotte's forehead. she didn't know why she did, and honestly it took her a bit by surprise. but it felt right, and what even felt more right was her strong overprotectiveness she was feeling. she wanted none other than to beat the daylights out of that boy, and trust that she would if she wouldn't get recognized for doing so.
