Today was another boring day of doing absolutely nothing. Today was my 21st birthday which means I can drink now. Even tho I've been drinking since my fifteenth birthday but it wasn't illegal cause no one knew about it.
My beat friend Ava decided she needed to take me to a bar. She was already 21 cause she's 7 months older than me. It was getting dark so we decided we should go.
"Let me drive. If we get drunk I'll call a Uber and we can pick up the car tomorrow. I mean it's nothing we haven't done before " Ava says and gets her car keys and we both laugh
"Maybe you'll finally find a boyfriend and stop being Weird and isolating yourself in your room and listening to Metallica all day" Ava says and starts driving
"Oh shush Metallica is great you just have bad music taste and you only want me to have a boyfriend so I can go on a double date with you and Bruce"
"I mean come on think about it, it would be fun right!" She says.
"Yeah I guess" I say and lean my head on the window. " oh come on you dumb fuck! Drive faster son of a bitch before I get out my car and beat the shit out of you" Ava yells at the car in front of us.
I look at her and laugh and then she bursts out laughing. We don't even know why but we just sit there laughing
Once we realize we're there we get our purses and get out the car. We walk in and the smell of beer hits my face.
We go to sit down and we sit down beside a boy with a bandana wearing jeans and a muscle shirt. He looks at me and I smile. He smiles back and continues to watch the baseball game on the tv.
"He's so cute" I tell Ava. She turns her head to look at him and gags. " fuck no" she says. " what's your name" she says to the boy. "Robin?" He says confused
"Well you see my friend here y/n is single and is desperately in the need of a boyfriend. But she's very weird and has bad music taste and a guitar and skateboarding obsession. she also thinks Kirk Hammett and any boy with long hair is cute so you technically fit her standards" Ava says and smiles
"Be right back gotta go to the bathroom" Ava says. "Sorry about her she always says things like that cause she wants me to get a boyfriend for some weird reason" I say and pinch my nose in embarrassment.
"It's fine. Your really beautiful by the way" he tells me. " I think your beautiful as well" I say.
"Sorry I suck at flirting. Wait sorry I don't even know if we're flirting this is super confusing" I say unsure
"Don't worry I was trying to flirt with you. I mean you don't see very many pretty girls at bars. Just old woman and alcoholic dads who are probably abusive" he says and we both laugh
"Back bestie!!" Ava says and ruffles up my hair "since it's your birthday you will not be buying any drinks I will pay for them all" Ava says and smiles.
" it's your birthday? How old you turning" Robin asks me. "21. I mean I've been drinking since I was 15 but now I can't do it in the public" I say and he smiles.
"I turned 21 last month. Anyways happy birthday" robin says and we both smile. " thank you" I say.
Ava randomly passes me this huge glass of beer. "Chug it for 10 bucks" Ava says. " yeah no I think I'm gonna die" I tell her. "15?" She says. "No" I say "20,25,30,35?" She says. " fine 25 dollars" I say and she smiles
She's only making me do this in front of Robin because I chug a huge glass of water in like 2 seconds without gagging. I think she wants him to see that I don't have a gag reflex or something
