Two years after Yoona left
We were hardly a shell of what we were before. Jimin, Yoongi Hyung and Hobi Hyung had moved out. Our bond was generally muted all the time, everyone putting up an impenetrable wall, keeping their feelings to themselves while blocking everyone else out. I hadn't talked to a few members in months. While a few tried to still do professional collaborations at first, those days were long gone.
Sure, I still hoped for the best for my soulmates, but we really never recovered from what happened when Yoona came to us. And I'm pretty sure we never will.
Jin, Namjoon, Kookie and I stayed living together at the dorm. We had found peaceful ways to coexist, but it was nothing like before. I think the memories of the good times made it hard to accept the second best that was now available. So we were cordial, but the dream of patching our ruptured bond felt like it was fast fading. Particularly since several members of our group had moved on to develop new relationships without us.
I still had a sliver of hope, it was really the only thing holding me together. But I knew the hope of our soul group truly healing was increasingly a fantasy.
