America landed near the beach and put his sunglasses back on. He started walking the rest of the way following the roaring of the waves to know where it was. He found the edge of the forest and started walking along the open beach. He noticed where everyone had put their stuff after a while of walking and headed towards them.

"Makuahine! Makuahine!" A voice yelled. The child ran up to America with a bright smile on her face. "You came!" she beamed.

"Yea! It does seem like a good day to go to the beach," America laughed.

"Yea! It's been cold lately, but today it was hotter," Hawaii explained. "Now come, come," she said.

Hawaii led America the rest of the way to where they were camped out on the beach. They as in Hawaii, Florida, and Alaska. America sat down next to Florida who was staring off, he looked to be spaced out. While Alaska was making sand castles.

"Hey Florida?" America asked.

Florida jumped in surprise, then said, "Oh, hey mom."

"How's your day doing?" America asked once again.

Florida just looked at him, looked back down at the ground, and started crying. America sighed and reached over to grab him.

"Listen, It's going to be okay, the people will fix this," America said.

"But the people are doing this, I don't understand why though. This country was built around freedom, not religion, or control, or fascism, or-"

"Florida, I understand. If you want, you can cry, no one will judge you here," America said softly.

Florida cried into America's shoulder and Hawaii and Alaska watched from afar. After Florida had calmed down, he had fallen asleep on America's arm.

"Uhm mama, what was that about?" Alaska asked.

"There are terrible laws being passed in lots of countries right now, some are affecting the people so much the emotion travels to the states," America explained.

"Are they doing more pollution stuff?" Hawaii asked.

America sighed, "Yes." Now that wasn't why they were crying, but was he really wrong?

"That's mean, I don't like the government," Hawaii said.

"It's a horrible thing that a country cannot live without," America said.

"I wish we could have more control over the government," Hawaii huffed.

"Life is unfair, but I think we could make it more fair if they listened," America explained.

"Yea, it would work," Hawaii said.

Hawaii went back to her sandcastle with Alaska. America sat there, thought running through his mind. He was so confused with what was going on, everything. The magic, the country, the people, everything. Why did all the sudden time move so fast? Why was this very week having events that should have happened spaced out in years? Why? Would he ever have the answer to this?

"Mom!" Florida yelled. America snapped out of his thoughts. "You started to blank out? Did I panic you because of what's going on in my state?" Florida asked.

"No Florida, you didn't," America sighed, "I just got caught up in thought."

"Oh, okay," Florida said.

America and Florida went over to the other two and started to help them with the sand castle they were building. After a while, they had finished it, and more states had come to hang out by the beach. I guess the family was going to have a beach day?
