-one month later-
Garett comes around comforting lia and flirting with Emily. Emily doesn't notice but she has feelings that she doesn't understand.
Garett comes over. "Hey Emily, hey lia, how are you?" He said. "Im dealing." Loa said with a sigh. "Yeah she still doesn't understand this Noah baby stuff." Em said. "Well, you guys had sex, whats not to understand?" He said. "Garett!" Em said. "Em its fine, I know how babies work, I just didn't know the universe would give this to me, you know, give me a piece of him." She said. "Yeah, that baby is going to be my buddy." He said. "Aw yeah, I bet the baby will love you." Em said. "Im sure." Lia said. "Ok, i gotta go." Garett said and leaves.
"So how do you feel this morning?" Em said. "A little flushed." She said. "Do you need anything?" Em asked. "A nap." Lia said and flops in her bed. "Ok but not for long, you have an appointment today." She reminds lia. "Omg, I forgot." Lia said "thats what I'm here for and its later so take a nap." Em said.
-a couple hours later-
"Get up lia, its time for your appointment." She said. "Ok, im awake." Lia said. They get ready and leave.
-at the doctors-
"I'm going to do an ultrasound." The doctor said. "Can i ask you a question first?" Lia asked. "Of course." The doctor said. "Well i have had this on my mind since i found out about the baby, but when the father died before i found out about the baby, i spiralled and drank alot, is that going to harm the baby at all?" Lia asked. "Miss James, your baby will be fine." The doctor said. "Oh thank god, ok im ready now." She said. The doctor sets up the ultrasound. "Ok this gel is going to be a little bit cold." The doctor said. "Ok." She said. The doctor put the probe on lias stomach. Emily took lias hand. The doctor moves it around. "Look at that, there's your baby." The doctor points. "It's such a little thing." Lia said. "Yep, the baby is the size of a prune." The doctor said. "Wow such a beautiful little thing." Emily said.
-after the checkup-
Garett comes over and asks Emily out. "Wow, um I don't know Garett." She said. "You should totaly go out with him." Lia said. "I've got my work that I have to focus on, not a boy." Emily said. "Your work is not going to walk away from you, if you leave it, it will still be there when you get back." Lia said. "Ok fine, I'll go." Em said. "Ok Garett, i will go out with you." She said. "Alright!" He said.
They leave in Garrett's car. They go to a restaurant. "This is nice." She said. "Only the best for you." He said. "You are so corny." She said. They laugh and order their food and talk.
-40 minutes later-
They walk out of the restaurant. They get in the car and drive off. "Where are we going?" She asked. "We got to get icecream to top off this date." He said. "Ok." Em said. They go to an icecream shop and get icecream.
-20 minutes later-
Garett takes Emily home. "I had a nice time Garett." Em said. "I had a good time with you too Em." He said. Then he kissed her. They say bye and Emily walks in the house and smiles. "How was the date?" Lia asked. "It was so great, I think I'm falling for him." She said. "Wow! Thats awesome." Lia said. "Yeah, he is so funny, talented, romantic, and not to mention, great to look at." Em said. "Oh, you are in love!" Lia said excited. "Yeah I think so, I think I figured out my feelings for him, I think I've always known, just did not figure it out, until now." Em said. "Thats great." Lia said. "So how was your night?" Em asked. "I just rested, i needed a nap." She said. "That's good, you rest all you need." Em said. I'm good now, i made coffee." She said. "Good thank you." Em said and makes herself a cup. "Well, I'm going to get some work done. If you need me, I'll be in my office." Em said and went to her office.
