-a couple weeks later-
Lia woke up to her alarm blaring. She hit the snooze and flopped back on her bed to sleep.

-a couple hours later-
Emily walked in. "I know what today is, but you need to wake up and feed your daughter." She said. "Mmh." Lia moaned and threw a pillow at Em. "O, k?" Em said. She left and went to the kitchen. "I hope she pumped." She said to herself as she opened the freezer. "Good." She mumbled as she pulled one out and made a bottle. She went to the nursery. "Hey Hazel! Sorry, breakfast is a little late." She said as she picked her up. "Mommy is just very sad because today a year ago, your mommy and daddy got into a big accident, and your daddy didn't make it." She said and sat down to feed her.

After she finished the bottle, Em put her in the crib and played her music box. She went to the kitchen to make breakfast. When she finished, she took a plate to Lia's bedroom. "Here, eat breakfast." She said. "I'm not hungry." She mumbled. "Lia, you need to eat!" She said. "I'm just not hungry, Em!" She said. " Ok, fine, but I'll leave the plate in here." Em said. "Whatever." She said. Then went back to sleep. Em walked out.

She grabbed her phone and called someone. "Hey, soph, your sister is in a bit of a slump." She said. "Is she ok? What's wrong?" She asked. "Today marks a year of Noah's death." She said. "Oh wow, I feel so bad for her." Soph said. "I know me too, but we should try to get her out of bed, I know her. She used to always do this when we were little. When she was sad, she would always lock herself in the bedroom, and I could never get her out." She said. "Well, now there's something that she would do anything for." Em said. "Hazel." They both said. "Ok, I'm on my way." She said. Em hung up.

A few minutes later, Sophie comes and tries to get Lia out of bed. "Go away, sophia." Lia said. "Ugh." Sophie sighed. "It's hard for me, Sophie. ok, this emotionally and physically hurts me, I can't get out of bed." She said. "I know, and I'm sorry, but you have to get up." She said. She goes to the nursery, and Emily is holding Hazel. She is crying. "I can't get her to stop crying, I tried everything." Em said. "Oh, here, let me take her." She said and took her, but she was still crying, and Sophie tried to calm her, but she screamed louder.

Lia hears her. She walked into the nursery. "Is she ok?" She asked. They look at her. She has messy hair, bloodshot eyes, and tears running down her face. "We don't know how to calm her." Em said. "Ok, give her to me." She said. Sophie gave her to Lia, and she stopped crying. Lia smiled. "I guess she just wanted her mom." Sophie said. Lia held her to her chest and hugged her. "I love you. That's all that matters." She said. "Guys, I'm sorry, I hope you're not mad." She also said. "No, it's ok." Sophie said. "Yeah, it's ok to grieve." Em said.
