chapter 13 betrayal

-A month later-
August 7th Emily's burthday is in a couple days and lia is having a hard time thinking of a perfect gift to get her to show her that she appreciates everthing she's done for her and to show her how much she loves her.

"I dont want a party so dont even try, please, dont." Emily begs. "Ok, ok, I promise." Lia said. "And I really dont need gifts, I have everything I need, what could I possibly want?" Em said. "C'mon, I need to get you something, you have been taking such good care of me, and I want to return the favor." Lia said. "You dont have to, it's really no problem." Emily said. "Ugh, fine but I'm going to find a way to make up for all of it, I promise." Lia said. "You really don't have to." Em said. "But I want to." Lia said. Emily rolls her eye's. "I'm not going to win this argument." Em said. "Nope." Lia said. She walks away.

-later that night-
Lia had a dream but this time it was a beautiful dream. She is dreaming about her beautiful family, also Noah. She is dreaming about Noah and he is telling her that she doesn't need to worry about him and that his child has the best mom in the world. She really neened that. He was also playing with his beautiful daughter. Telling lia that she will be a great mother and that she will be ok without him and that their child could live through the memories of him.

-the next morning-
Lia wakes up refreshed. She had a good night sleep for the furst time in months. She goes to the kitchen. "I just finished making breakfast." Em said and slides a plate over to lia. "You look refreshed." Em said. "I had a good night sleep, I had  the best dream, i didn't even want to wake up. I have a checkup today." Lia said. "Oh, I'll come with you. I don't have anything on my schedule today." Em said.

Someone knocks on the door and Garret comes in. "I have something special planned for you tomorrow!" Garrett said and gave her a present. "I told you, no presents." Emily said. "Just open it." Garrett said. Emily opened it and it is a key. "A key?" Em said. "Yeah, a key to my appartment, I thought maybe we could do something special." He said. "I would like that." Em said. "Ok, meet me at my apartment at 7pm. Sharp. No earlier. He said. "I'll be there." Em said seductively. Garrett takes a piece of toast and leaves.

"Wow, you guys are getting serious." Lia said. "Yeah, I really like him." Em said. "I'm happy for you, em!" She said. "Thank you." Em smiled. "You're welcome, I gotta get ready for my check up." Lia said. Lia went to her room and changed.

-at the hospital-
They are in the checkup room. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom, if the nurse comes in can you tell them that I'll be a few minutes." Lia said. "Of course." Em said. Lia walks out.

Lia walks down the hallway and stops by a door. She hears a familiar voice. She peaks through the open crack. "Is that Garrett?" She whispers to herself. Then she hears a girl crying. "Who is that woman that he's with?" She said. "This isn't fair!" The woman cries. "I know baby, but we can try again." Garrett said. "What, is he cheating on Emily!" Lia whispers. "But he's gone, before we even got to meet him." The woman cries louder. "I know, its sad and hard." Garrett said and kissed her. "He is!" Lia said almost to loud. She runs before anyone can see her and she runs to her room. "Hey, are you ok?" Em asked. "Yeah, did the nurse come by yet?" Lia asked. "No, not yet." Em said. "Ok, well, I need to tell you something, but I dont think I should tell you right now." Lia said. "Tell me." Em said. Then the nurse came in. "I will tell you at home.

-at home-
"Can you tell me please?" Em asked. "Fine, but you're not going to like it." She said. "You're scaring me." Em said. "Ok, well, I saw Garrett kissing some crying girl at the hospital." Lia said. Emily looked mad. "I'm sorry." Lia said. "Yeah, I thought you were happy for me?" Em said. "What?" Lia said confused. "Why are you trying to break me and Garrett apart?" Em said. "I'm not, why would I?" Lia said. "I dont know, maybe you're jealous of my happiness." Em said. "No, I'm not lying to you!" Lia said. "You know what Amelia, I'm going to Garrett's appartment." She said and left.

-at Garrett's appartment-
She unlocks the door and walks in. "Garrett!" She shouted. She walks in the bedroom and saw Garrett with some girl. "Lia was right!" Em yelled. "EM! It's not what it looks like!" He said. "Who is she, baby?" The woman asked. Emily walks away. "Wait, em!" He said. Emily turns around. "You are cheating on me!" Em said. What are you doing here? You are supposed to come later." Garrett said. "Does it matter, lia was right about you, I can't believe I didn't trust her and argued with her, when she's been there for me! I'm leaving and never coming back. Em said and left.
