Chapter 55

"Grabe, Mommy! I'm so full na!" humagikhik na reklamo ni Alexene matapos kumain.

I smiled while staring at her. We were at the mall because it's Sunday.

Alexene is always taking advantage of this special day.

"You ate too many.

Alexene puckered her pinkish lips and looked at the plate in front of us.

"Not everything naman. The food is great kaya. Mommy, let's go back here on Sunday."

I chuckled and nodded my head. "Of course. Anytime you want."

She clapped her hands. "So where are we going after this? You have already bought toys na for us.

"We'll visit the the Luxury boutique and then after that, we will both have a haircut. Masiyado nang mahaba ang buhok mo."

She looked at her long hair.

I told her that she's even having a hard time doing anything because her long hair was a distraction.

"Well, I think you're right. I have to bid goodbye to my long hair na," aniya at nagtaas ng tingin sa akin. "Hanggang shoulder, Mommy. That's enough?

"I'm sorry, honey. Chemicals aren't good for your hair. Maybe when you're already a grown up woman and you still want that purple shade of hair, you can have it."

She clapped her hands again as if that color makes her really happy.

"It's still a long way before it happens but I'm willing to wait, Mommy.

I smiled sweetly. "Of course."

She continued drinking her orange juice.

I just dreamed of this moment where I can take them out and buy them anything they want.

Within a year of being with them, I realized that it's hard to become a full time mother but the happiness I feel is more than priceless. It's out of the world. I can't even define it whenever they call me mommy. Or whenever they kiss me goodnight.

Mahirap dahil ako lang mag-isa. There are some moments at night that I wish him to be here. To be with us so we can be complete but I know it's not that easy.

I wonder how exhausted he was during those times that he needed to make them sleep at night knowing that they were still new borns.

Pagod sa trabaho. Walang masiyadong tulog. Magdamag na nagbabantay sa mga anak namin.

I heard that he never hired someone to take care of the twins even if he's at home.
