It was quite unusual for those words to hear from her. She wanted to stay with him and not go home? Wasn't that going to make them in trouble? Wouldn't that ruin her? What about her dream? She still has a dream, and he didn't want to be the cause of why she's turning her back on her dream when she already has gone so far.

"But, Y/n, what about your mother?" Draco furrowed his brows, worried that she might get in trouble, which may result in not seeing her again. However, at the same time, he feels happy for her that she's somehow trying to get out of the place that suffocates her, but this just seems wrong.

"I know she'll try finding me." She took a bite of her pancake. "And if I am indeed found, I'll be trapped again in her cage. And yes, I do still love her because she's still my mom. I just really hate the way she didn't spend much of her time with me, was always dedicated to her job, and treated me as if I needed to be displayed, to become perfect in everyone's eyes. It's really tiring, to be honest." Indeed, Draco knew how it felt to be pressured to become perfect in society's eyes.

"Do you plan on returning?" Draco questioned.

"I do but at the right time when I don't feel any resentful from her."

It was a sunny day in the afternoon in the park, where Draco is teaching Y/n to ride a bicycle. She hasn't learned how to ride a bicycle yet. No one has ever taught her how to ride one. Although, someone did promise her that she'll be able to ride one. It was her father. Her father promised her that he'll teach her to ride a bicycle, but things took a turn and he never taught her. Y/n told Draco about this while they were having iced coffee at a cafe and saw an old couple riding a bicycle together. He then promised her that he'll teach her how to ride a bicycle after they leave the cafe, and he really did.

"Trust me, love, just push your feet on the ground and as soon as the wheels start rolling, just put your feet on the pedal and push it," Draco stated.

"What if I fell?" She frowned.

"I'll be here to catch you, and if I wasn't able to, I'll treat your wound for you, take care of you. So, why should you worry, love?" He assured her, with a smile plastered on his lips.

"Your last statement doesn't seem assuring but alright," Her face softened as the soft rays of the sun passed her eyes, making her dark chocolate eyes turn hazel. Her face gleamed, and it was beautiful indeed, especially when she smiled at him as her eyes were staring at his grey ones. His assurance made her trust him more and made her fall madly in love with him more. So with that, she did what he told her.

Both of them rested on the wooden bench under an oak tree. It was already 5 in the afternoon and the clouds showed their purple and golden hues. They were still people taking a stroll around the park, children playing flying disks with their dogs and siblings, and couples sitting on a bench like them. Y/n used to have a life like this when she was a child but she couldn't do anything to stop what happened 12 years ago.

Y/n looked at the children playing with their 2 dogs, one was small and one was big. It quite reminded her of the dog that was gifted to her by her father when she was only three. It was a corgi, the only companion she has after her father's death.

"You know," She began to speak, causing Draco to turn his head and look at her whilst her eyes were still gazing at the dogs. "I used to have a dog when I was a child. It was weird I named it Poppy even though it was a he."

"Aww," He cooed, showing a soft smile. "But what happened to him?"

"Unfortunately, he got ill three years after itay's death. He was the only companion I had in the house, to be honest. Yes, my aunt was also my companion but she owns a museum and has to go there every day."

"Your aunt owns a museum?"

"Oh, you haven't known yet?" She chuckled. "She buys paintings from auctions and collects them in honour of my uncle, her husband, who died when I was 5. My uncle is a painter and also loves to collect art. His paintings were also on display in her museum. We could check it out for some time, although just discreetly."

"If that is what you want, love, I would do so." He said. "However, when your dog died, why didn't you get a new one?" He asked. Curiosity was written in his eyes.

Her lips curved down, remembering her mother's words on the day her pet dog named Poppy died. Mrs Magindara forbade her to have any pets inside the house, telling her that pets could distract her and won't get her to focus on what she was aiming for.

"Inay forbade me." She sighed. "She didn't want any distractions around me, and it's like she didn't care if I feel lonely at all. But maybe someday I could get my own dog." She looked at him with a smile plastered on her lips. "Anyways, we should get this bicycle back before the rental shop closes."

Draco, however, only sat there, thinking of something that he could do for her to relieve the feeling of having a little companion again. Maybe perhaps why not try searching for a shop that sells pets, and redeem the joy inside of Y/n, redeem how it is like to have a pet, a pet that could remind her of Poppy.
