How many has it been? 7 months? No, it has been almost a year and almost a month since the accident. It was November when the accident happened and Y/n was still lying on her hospital bed, not showing any signs of movement. But this never gave them any feeling of losing hope. They still waited and waited and did what the doctor advised them to do to help her wake up.

Draco has not been that well since he read the letter. It had greatly affected him, which became the cause of why he hadn't given her so many visits unlike before. The guilt would always twist his stomach every time he would show up, and it made her relatives worried about him, especially Fatima since she knew that ever since he had read her letter, he had never been the same.

The sun was already setting, letting the blanket of stars wrap around the city of France and one by one, lights were beginning to light up the city.

He sat at his desk in the bedroom, staring at the notebook that contained the draft for his book that he promised to finish. But it had been 7 months and he hadn't written much in his notebook, he had only worked on it slowly. Therefore, working on it little by little, and when he had his pen in his hands, he couldn't manage to write and just ended up crying...all over again. He felt like he didn't deserve her.

Then a knock on the door rang his ears, interrupting his own peace.

He stood up from his chair and let his feet carry him to the door even though he didn't feel like meeting anyone. But he knew whoever it was, he should face them, especially when he had been shutting himself up.

As soon he swung the door open, a lady stood there, looking at him with concern in her eyes. It was no other than Fatima and to his surprise...his mother.

He tilted his head to the right, looking at them confused and spoke, "How did the two of you—"

"I met her in front of the building and volunteered to help me carry my bags." Mrs Malfoy replied. "And never have I thought that she would visit you too." She looked at the girl next to her. "Wait, are you..."

"No, Mum. It's not her." Draco told. "In fact, she's her cousin."

"I knew it she's your mother." Fatima grinned then turned to look at Mrs Malfoy. "Hi, I'm Fatima." She introduced herself. "It's nice to meet you, Mrs Malfoy." She shook her hand.

"Pleased as well, deary." She chuckled.

"But why are you carrying so many bags?"

"Well, your father suggested that I should stay with you for a while, especially when again you won't answer our letters."

"You rarely visit her, Draco." Worry was drawn into Fatima's eyes as she looked at Draco, who was avoiding her eyes.

They both sat in the living room whilst Mrs Narcissa was putting her things in the room where she'd be staying. Draco had a spare bedroom in his apartment that had never been used ever since he moved in. Fatima, on the contrary, visited Draco to see how he had been doing. She knew that he hadn't been well.

"You have been...ever since you read her letter." She added. "Pray tell, what has been occupying your dear mind? Marc and Louis were also worried about you. They said you won't answer their knocks, texts, and even their calls."

Draco fell silent for a while, then finally spoke to fill in the dead air.

"I just..." His voice was faint and raspy but Fatima could still hear him. "I don't think I deserve her...I think I'll just hurt her again."

"Are you really going to let your own thoughts control you?" Fatima stated, raising one brow and her arms crossed upon her chest. "Draco, she really needs you. She rarely hears your voice right now, now that you rarely visit, and she would really love to hear from you."

"But—"

"She loves you no matter what. She always will, and leaving her like this will hurt her again." She looked like she was running out of breath. "Please don't be like this, and who knows maybe she'll one day wake up because of you, and trust me, once you abandon her again, it's like you're doing what you did to her last year. Whatever she wrote there, I assure you, what happened to her was not your fault."

Draco finally set his feet off his apartment and drove his way to the hospital with Fatima. He felt anxious about going inside her hospital room, but he felt the need to be there, he knew he should be there because he is what Y/n needed right now.

Then they arrived in front of her room.

"My aunts had just left home to rest, so it was my turn to stay with her tonight." She smiled as she held onto the doorknob. "But I'll give you some space with her." She twisted the know and finally opened the door.

It was dimly lit inside and the room was only filled by the beeping sound of the heart rate monitor. Y/n still laid there, oblivious of her surroundings, oblivious to who was visiting her. She looked the same as always since he last visited her 4 weeks ago. Draco plucked up the courage to step inside and try his best to be not swayed by the thoughts that made him weak over the past months.

"If you need anything, I'll be just right here, outside," Fatima uttered and finally closed the door to leave them be.

He sat down on the wooden chair next to her bed, gazing at her face as the gleaming soft light of the moon illuminated her dazzling face. She's still as beautiful as ever, He thought as he held her hand and rubbed circles on it with his thumb. He missed her. He missed staring at her dark chocolate eyes, he missed hearing her angelic voice, he just missed everything about her.

"Hello, Mi amada..." His voice was soft as the clouds. "I wanted to tell you that the book was already halfway through until I finished it." Well, it is indeed, he was already halfway there to finishing it even though he worked on it slowly. "But that is not why I'm here today...I'm sorry I haven't been able to visit you that much...Things have been tough ever since....ever since I read the letter you wrote to me." A small smile appeared on his lips and yet his eyes still looked sad. "I'm sorry I made you feel that way. I'm sorry I abandoned you again, love. I'm sorry I failed you again." Tears started to form in his eyes as he wrapped his hands around hers, giving soft kisses on it. "I do not think I could deserve you. I just feel like I'll hurt you again. But I swore this to you, I will never abandon you again, never hurt you, never let you feel like you are undeserving. I'll try— no...I'll become better for you, love. I assure you that. So please wake up for us, love. Everyone misses you, especially your mother." He cried whilst looking at her unconscious body. "Gising na, aking Sinta." (Translation: "Wake up, my Darling.")

And that is when her hand moved.
