He sat on the waiting chair in front of the emergency room, tapping his foot and playing with his rings that were mostly covered by blood. He really tried his best to calm himself down, but the thought of seeing her unconscious in his arms, bleeding, just made him weak and he couldn't even speak properly on the phone with Fatima to tell her what had happened and to tell her to call for Mrs Magindara.

There were still blood stains on his white button-up long-sleeve shirt, but he didn't care. All he cared about right now was her. He prayed and prayed and prayed, telling the divine creator to let her live.

Pansy Parkinson returned to his apartment to get him some fresh clothes. She was with him when Y/n was already rushed to the nearest Hospital.

All the waiting has kept him so anxious, that it even made him stand up and walk back and forth in front of the emergency door. He blamed himself for not getting there quickly. He blamed himself for allowing her to cross the road just to get to the place they planned to meet. Pansy even told him it wasn't his fault, and if someone is to blame then the person that should be blamed was the drunk driver who had caused the accident.

When he was about to sit again, Mrs Magindara, along with Mrs Badeaux and Fatima, finally came.

It had only been 30 minutes since Y/n was placed in the emergency room and 20 minutes since he called Fatima.

"How is she?" Mrs Magindara asked the young man. Draco didn't quite expect that she would ask him. He thought she would get mad at him and blame him for everything, but she didn't.

"The doctor hasn't said anything, ma'am." He frowned.

"You should sit down, Glinda." Mrs Badeaux gently rubbed her back. "We can wait for the doctor here as soon as they're done."

Hours went by and they all only sat in the waiting chair in front of the Emergency Room. Anxious they all are. One was tapping their feet on the ground, one was twisting the rings on his fingers, one was comforting the sister-in-law, and one was trying to take a peek through the glass window of the door to the emergency room, checking if the doctor was making his way here.

Pansy had already dropped by and brought Draco a new shirt and it happens that she wasn't alone on her way here, for Theo and Blaise were in front of his apartment when Pansy arrived. But the three had already gone home to give them space as they waited for the doctor inside the room. Though Draco was given fresh clothes, he didn't change yet because he didn't want to miss what the doctor had to say about her condition.

"The doctor's coming," Fatima announced in a low, but sad, tone as she took a step back to allow the doctor to announce her cousin's condition.

All those who sat stood up from the waiting chair, eager to hear what the doctor had to say. Then the doctor came up, looking downbeat, which Mrs Magindara, for sure, had taken this that the doctor was delivering bad news.

"I assume you must be Mrs Magindara." The doctor looked at Mrs Magindara.

"I am." Her hands were interlocked together, trying to pray that even if the news was bad, she hoped that it wasn't worse, for she feared that the same night that happened 12 years from now would happen again. She couldn't bear losing someone so important to her again. She couldn't bear losing her only child.

"Well, your daughter will be perfectly well, mademoiselle." The doctor said, which caused Mrs Magindara to sigh in relief. "We performed surgery on her right arm since there's a fracture in her Humerus and Ulna, and the tibia in her left leg has also a fracture. Moreover, we did some stitching on deep cuts on her head, arms, legs, and waist. However..." The doctor seemed too hesitant to bring whatever he must say because he knew for sure that it would devastate them.

"However what, doctor?" Impatience was evident enough in Draco's eyes. Indeed, he was relieved that she was alive but what more the doctor should say? Was it something bad or was it...

"She's in a coma."
