Today is the opening of Laura's restaurant. Laura invited Royse's siblings and lolo Fred, but only London and Cosette are available to come.

"I am. I'm so excited and happy for Laura.

I nodded.

"We've been best friends since elem. My companion in many things. My sister in crime," napatawa ako nang maalala ang mga kalokohan namin noong high school at college.

"I wonder what silliness my wife did during her school days," napalingon ako kay Royse. Nakita ko ang bahagya niyang pagngisi.

"Marami at iba't iba, but my studies feel complete because of those," no matter how many times we were scolded or embarrassed, that's nothing compared to the joy that it brings. Those taught us lessons that we value until now.

Nakita ko ang pagyuko ni Cosette.

"I won't graduate with flying colors like my siblings," nagkatinginan kami ni Royse.

"That doesn't matter, baby.

"I didn't also," lahat sila napalingon sa akin.

"Whether you graduate with flying colors or not doesn't matter, Cosette, as long as you know in your heart that you did your best. What's important is that you were happy and enjoyed your studies. I believe that awards are just a bonus. The most valuable things are the lessons you've learned and the experiences that have prepared you to face the real world. Always be proud of yourself because every step counts," tumaas ang tingin niya sa akin.

"That is not also the sole basis of your abilities, as no external factor can dictate a person's capabilities. Only you know your true potential and the people who truly know you. So don't let yourself be discouraged just because you failed at something. True victory lies within your heart."

"Ate Samara is right, Cosette. You have proven yourself many times, and we're always proud of you.

"But you know what? Even though I didn't graduate with flying colors, I top the board examination. I didn't expect that it would happen. When I take the board, I was happy and contented no matter what the result would be dahil alam ko sa sarili ko na inilaban ko iyon.

"Thank you, ate Samara. Tama kayo. I will keep that in mind. Masiyado ko lang siguro na dinamdam iyon. Simula po ngayon I will take the courage and be always proud to myself." I smiled at her before I interlocked my fingers to Royse's grip.

They graduated with Laude's kaya marahil binabaan ng loob si Cosette.
