Chapter 26: Alcott

Soon they finally reached the closest marked place to the town.

It was a old museum looking thing.

It looked at least 5 stories high.

It looked like something from centuries ago.

Big black vines had started wrapping itself around as cracks formed in various places.

"Should we go inside and check?" Harriet asked.

"We should. Since Callie marked this place off and we could take a break from all that driving." Kennedy looked at the map.

Callie hadn't named the location just a black x.

They all walked to the entrance. They pushed the doors and they slowly creaked open as the hinges screamed.

They walked into a dark place. The only light source were the high windows which weren't too helpful.

Dinosaur states had been knocked over and other artefacts were knocked off their cases or their glass boxes had been smashed.

Kennedy went up to the next door which seemed to be the royalty section. Their were crowns and jewels broken into half and dresses put on display.

There also was a small library which seemed to be full of scrolls.

She moved onto the next floor which was an unusual section. It had figures of strange creatures in glass cases.

Odd dragons, Unicorns and more.

Suddenly she heard and eerie sound and looked ahead.

There wasn't anything there.

The sound was heard again from the same direction but nothing was there.

Suddenly a strange hooded figure statue had punched its glass case shattering it and floated out facing Kennedy.

It snapped it's grey skeleton fingers and more ghost things spawned.

They squealed as they charged for Kennedy.

"Absend!" Kennedy yelled and managed to air punch three of them away.

But more and more just kept spawning and she couldn't keep throwing spells.

Just as one was about to catch her. A bright light had appeared from behind Kennedy and the floating things began covering their ears squealing and then turning into dust.

Kennedy squinted her eyes looking back to see someone casting the spell

She thought it was Ezbern or Theo but as the bright light faded away. Kennedy's eyes widened.

"Alcott!?" She yelled.

Alcott walked closer to her.

"Yeah it's me." He chuckled awkwardly.
