The next day Jen was going to the store to buy some paper towels.
She went to the little store on the edge of the block, since it wasn't as far and not as many people shopped there.
When she got out of the elevator her hallway was empty.
She stepped out of the elevator and started walking down the hall. Something caught her eye from the right.
There was a lack of color, and even though Jen thought it was in her head, she turned around to look at the donation box anyway. She went over to check inside it.
The scarf wasn't there.
Something told Jennifer that Michal had something to do with that.
