When Jennifer stopped, she could hear two voices.
One of them sounded like a female, which was what made her assume it was Stephanie, since now she was over at least a couple times a week. But as Jennifer leaned in, she realized that the woman's voice seemed oddly muffled, which confused her until she realized that it must have been coming from a phone.
"Yes, yes I know. The - yes, and that one too. Yeah, I cleared all of them out. Um, yeah, I guess, I mean, there was this one time she must have been totally tripping. Saw a bottle that wasn't there."
Jennifer backed up as Chris finished that sentence.
She rushed down the hall after that.
