Jen was just locking the door of her apartment a few days later when she saw Michal and another man that she didn't recognize standing outside Michal's door.
The man had on a plaid coat. He looked like a lumberjack, which was strange considering Jennifer had never seen a lumberjack before. His hair was longer than Michal's, and he had boots on. Michal was wearing his signature polo shirt, and it even looked like he had gotten a haircut since the last time she'd seen him, making the physical differences between them even greater.
Michal and the man turned around almost right after she did, and they all made awkward eye contact for a second too long before Michal broke the silence.
"Jen! I, didn't know you were going out today. This is my brother, Chris."
The lumberjack-like man smiled suddenly and put out his large hand.
He looked nothing like Michal.
"Pleased to meet you, Jen," Chris stated, making Jen feel oddly left out.
For some reason Jennifer felt like she should've met Michal's brother by now. Why hadn't she?
"Uh, hi, Chris," Jen said, slightly slower than normal.
That was the day Chris and Jen met.
