Jen had been trying to avoid Chris.
Ever since he'd been moving Michal's stuff out, Jennifer hadn't trusted him.
Not that she had to begin with.
And the fact that he was moving his stuff in made Jen even more confused. She could understand if he was cleaning the place out. Heck, he even might have been told to by his parents or something, but the fact that he wanted to move in perplexed Jen.
Until one day.
She heard knocking at her door. It was, not surprisingly, Chris.
"What do you want?" Jen asked, wanting to shut the door in his face.
"Jen, right? I just wanted to ask you about a couple things," he replied.
His voice was softer than Jen remembered.
