Episode 11: Inside Out

"RISE AND SHINE, WOLFBOY!!~" Luke announced in a sing-song tone.

Drake just about fell out of bed as he sprung up. "Why must you be so loud in the morning? And quit calling me that!!" Drake said annoyed.

"Well it's not my fault you're in your wolf form." Luke stated with a pout.

"Just because I'm in my wolf form doesn't me- Wait, what?!" Drake questioned in panic as he quickly ran to the nearest mirror. "I guess I transformed in my sleep last night." Drake said as one of his back legs was still in a cast.

"Hm, is that normal?" Luke questioned.

"Beats me. I still don't know a lot about shapeshifting. And there's no one around for me to ask, so." Drake replied.

"Maybe we could go to the public library and do some research on shapeshifting." Luke suggested.

"Are you nuts?! I don't want more people getting suspicious and finding out." Drake snapped.

"I get it, but you need to know more about your ability. You're gonna have it all your life." Luke explained.

"I know, I know. Just...no one else can find out." Drake sighed as he went back to his bed and slumped.

"And no one will. I promise." Luke said as he sat next to his wolf friend.

"Don't make promises you can't keep." Drake replied. It went silent for a moment.

"Drake, I'll make sure of it." Luke assured.

Drake then looked up towards his blonde friend, and leaned his head on him. They stayed that way for a moment.

"CRAP!! We're gonna be late for school! We gotta go go go!" Luke panicked as he jumped up and scurried to get dressed.

Drake couldn't help but let out a small laugh as he watched the angel run around the room frantically.

They both got ready for school and made it just on time.

At the beginning of class, Ms. Everhart announced, "Unfortunately, class, we've had to say farewell to Lilly. She and her family had to move away."

Drake couldn't help but stare towards the now empty seat. Remembering how kind and sweet Lilly always was.

Get it together, Drake! She's gone, so what!? Not like she really knew me anyways...

After school, the boys went to the public library to do a bit of research.

Luke wore one of his usual green t-shirts and some jean shorts.

Drake on the other hand decided to wear a black ball cap and a black hoodie with the hood over his head.

"Umm, Drake. If anything you look more suspicious now." Luke pointed out.

The demon rolled his eyes, "Just shut up and help me find the book section."

After going through several books to find information on shapeshifting, Drake came across a book on angelic abilities.

"Hey, Luke. Check this out." Drake said as he handed over the book.

The blonde boys' eyes immediately lit up as he skimmed through the book, "So this section says, angels with angelic abilities haven't been seen or known of in hundreds of years. An angel who possesses abilities is an all powerful celestial."

Drake stared at the boy for a moment, "Aaand that means what, exactly?" the demon questioned, as they sat down at a table.

"Don't know! - I'll have to get this book and hopefully I'll learn more about it." Luke replied.
