Soooooooo I got a really bad Prince ick for a while. Love my baby down but I disagree with a lot of things he left behind in the past that I have to see resurfacing even though he's gone. So what happened? Man, I was editing OF4S and Gold (almost done.😭) and I started listening to Robin's stories to get a better feel of the vibe he was presenting and she was just reminding me how much of a JERK he especially was in the 90s and it was the worst. Not only am I listening to these stories but I'm having to channel Nelly, who is hates him at the time, and it was just a lot of art manifesting into reality. I couldn't break out of the method writing to the point that I even took a step away from Skipper & Mo because I would legit get annoyed.
Then, the D&P SDE tracklist dropped.. And it got worse.

I saw Blood On the Sheets and I was like, "This better not be some creepy ode to virginity. I'm putting my stan card on layaway if it is. I swear I'm fucking done. I'm so tired already." And as time passed I started crossing my fingers and praying it was something about heartbreak or a metaphoric death. I started hoping it was just a sad ass heartbreak instrumental. To make tensions worse, nobody knew anything about it or anything. This track was pulled from thin air. No tea, no rumors, no PrinceVault trails, nothing! It was just... I was terrified. Now, it's leaked and it's just a melancholy rock guitar moment. Not only is it that but it's STRICTLY INSTRUMENTAL... AND I LIKE IT. So, I won again.
Been gone almost ten years and he's still giving me heart attacks. This man Prince... That man is something else. But I live to see another day.
