I finished a mini secret book's full outline, beginning to end, set on this tour. I have an entire full-length book set on this tour that I've been tinkering with for years. I'm eating, sleeping, and breathing this tour. Hopefully, the 40th anniversary gives us the SDE at Celebration.
I don't think I've breathed Purple Rain like this since 2016, about the time I discovered my main plug for bootlegs.
As I'm writing these different stories, I'm so fascinated by how much of a mf BEAST Purple Rain P was. The Kid was unstoppable! At least 4 albums done in this era. A full tour lasting two full seasons. HE WAS UNSTOPPABLE. AND SO MOTHERFUCKINg FINEEEEEEEEEE!
Back to the creative vomit.
I'm a little scared that the books are gonna be a little too similar. The newer between the two is being posted before the other, mostly because it's attached to a previously book. A woman of my word, I had to go back into that and then I'll post it when the SDE is announced.
The older one, however, is a little more complicated for me. I think I'm gonna rework it in some ways. The good news is that I don't read PR Prince books— Not that they aren't there! It just happens that the writers I'm into usually have books focused in the 90s. Which is crazy because I'm such an 80s Prince girlie. I like the regular ego before he could make a room go silent. I wanna hear a rehearsal full of laughter— No, but seriously. I end up reading a lot of 1990-1992 books.
Desire is literally my [insert one of the songs he worked on and put away fifty times before releasing]. My only worry is that Rose is gonna seem too similar to [insert mini book main girl here] even though Rose came first. Rose is very sweet, very chill, very mild-mannered (Edit: Saying this gave me a character arc idea and I left to rewrite parts of her.)

With the Purple Rain Sessions book in hand and My Drawers on repeat, I've started adding actions and narrative to the creative vomit I threw onto this platform. Based on the content written, I want to figure out how far I'm willing to go as far as mature descriptives. Mentally, I envision the sex scene(s) to be very intense... Almost animalistic like, "AHHHH! THEY'RE FUCKING!" However, I want it to be true to their characters. She's a lovergirl so I have to find a way to keep that primal passion IN HIM but even it out to match what she's seeking (sexually).
I don't see that being that hard, honestly.
Then, comes the circumstances to be considered. He waited a long, long time for that one. So it has to be a certain level of nasty... But how do you make it sexy without turning it into porn? I've read smut where it was a "Oop! Let me cross my legs. Whew, chile!" kind of ordeal... Then it'd become too much though, especially on a vernacular tip. HE STUCK HIS WHAT IN HER WHO?! By that point, it's more cringey than sexy. The mood was killed.

So, I basically finished. 😂
I started the final chapter last night/early this morning. I'll be posting June 1 to June 7, twice a day. It's fun, it's a little sexy, but it's mostly just super cute. One thing I'm very proud of is who the main antagonist is. In a lot of my work, Prince is as much the antagonist as he is the protagonist and love interest because... Well, I don't have to explain Prince. Nonetheless, I added very important stipulations to the main bond being shown and the rule is that he's NOT allowed to hurt her in a serious way.
He can be a jerk every now and then because that's inevitable, but he can't do anything seriously detrimental. I think that's what makes it unique too. He certainly is still him but his protectiveness places things in a different light that makes the abstract antagonist more interesting than the concrete antagonist— Because a jealous woman is vital to any Prince fic.
Initially, the this project was to be posted with the announcement of the PR SDE but I'm very optimistic about that ordeal, so much so that I'll go as far as manifesting it with posting this project. Fingers remain crossed for a PR SDE, hopefully one that's as good as the SOTT SDE with REHEARSALS— Again, let me not get carried away because that's a separate rant and ramble. As I was saying, I'm optimistic for the SDE with the 40th anniversary. So, I'm gonna post this in replace of the 17 Days of Prince thing I used to do way back when and put it up prior to Celebration because I need to get this out. Once it's out, I can move forward with my other endeavors.
So, All in all, I'm finished... Well, I'm editing and doing the last chapter but I'm basically finished. I like it a lot and I'm pretty excited to post it. I think I might do this with Sonia and P from the DMSR series... But let's not get too carried away. Anyway, very excited!
