YN'S POV

"I'm sorry for abandoning you, baby"

I tightened my arms around Dad and finally asked,

"Can you tell me why you left?"

He sighed heavily and while caressing my back he spoke,

"Promise me, you won't hate me or your mom after I tell you the truth"

I frowned and pulled away from him, I was confusingly looking at him but nodded eventually. He took my hand back in his and started,

"Your mom cheated on me"

My eyes widened, and I pulled my hand back almost not believing him. He looked back at me with a sorry look on his face, he nodded and at that moment I knew he was stating the truth. This time while fidgeting with his fingers he continued,

"She got pregnant and wanted to keep the baby"

"But I was against it, as it was not mine"

"Then things went downhill and we decided to divorce"

I felt sad for him, I never had an idea that Mom did that to Dad maybe I never asked. I intervened our hands back making him look back at me, I spoke,

"I'm sorry Dad"

"It's okay baby"

"I am over it now"

He replied while smiling, I hugged him again feeling sad for him but happy too as he is better now. He chuckled and said,

"You are still clingy, Baby"

"Not that I'm complaining"

He said immediately, I smiled knowing he was referring to our old good days, I snuggled more into his embrace and told him,

"Only with you, Dad"

I don't why but since I saw him I felt comfortable around him instantly, I knew I was so confused earlier but as I saw him all of my worries vanished away. I feel like I can be myself again around him, the little girl inside me who missed Dad all those years, felt so happy today maybe that's why I'm acting like this. On the other hand, after last night, I needed some distraction and this was the best way to run away from those voices before they could take control over me entirely and force me to take the wrong step again.

"Dad, where were you all this time?"

I asked. He seemed to get tense, without pulling away I looked up at him resting my chin on his muscular chest, he looked down at me and while caressing my hair he replied,

"After getting a divorce I went to rehab for almost a year"

"Then I decided to meet you for once but your mom told me that you are happy without me"

I frowned wondering why Mom lied to him. He smiled while cupping my face in his left palm and told me,

"Then I married Fiona"

I raised my brow surprisingly but the way his eyes sparkled as he talked about her said that he really loves her, I'm glad he found his perfect one at least. 

"The boy who was with me earlier is my step son"

He continued, I pulled away from him feeling too surprised. He took my hand and spoke,

"Let me introduce you to him"

My eyes widened in worry, I shook my head in denial worrying if he was similar to Saya, no no no, I can tolerate another person like that. Dad read through my mind and assured me,
