Sophie pov
I paced in my room like a mad woman. He was messing with my head. He is messing with my head.

Ever since I came back to the castle, he has been calmer and it scares me .
I walked out of my room again, Bernice and Benita are not yet out.
There's no way I'm going back to meet jobe. I'll just talk to Lucas.

I wonder where he is when he's not with jobe
I walked downstairs when the saw Lucas. I guess I am lucky today
"Hello" I said
He stopped and looked at me
I have a feeling that Lucas doesn't like me at all
He gave a little smile
And said, how can I help you
My maids, they're not out yet

He smiled and said

I'm not sure jobe my running away was serious this time because he knew he would still catch me
I was still walking upstairs when i saw jobe.
He was talking with a man I've never seen before.
The last thing I wanted to do was to see him I decided to walk back downstairs as quiet as I could.
I slowly walked downstairs taking each step calmly and gently

It was worked but one of the god damm stair made a squeak.
I stopped immediately hoping he was actually listening to the man he was talking to. He didn't move so I exhaled and continued.
Before I knew it I was already downstairs. I smiled at my Victory.
I the stairs were so long so I couldn't even hear him or see him.
I walked outside to the gardens and I heard my name behind me.
I quickly turned and saw jobe behind me. My legs immediately lost their balance and I fell on the floor.
He looked at me with this confused and amuse face. Something I've never seen before.
"Are you ok" he asked.
Of course I'm not. Anytime you're near me I'm not ok
Those are the words I want to say right now , but I held it to myself
"Yes" I replied and got up
" why were you sneaking out just how when you saw me" he asked still with his amused expression
Oh my god, he saw me, I must have looked like a total fool
"Ohh" I gave a little laugh
" I was looking for a .... mouse!
Yes I was looking for it so I had to walk silently, I didn't know you were there" I denied without shame
"Mouse??, there are not mice in this house." He answered
" well I definitely saw one" I said again
" you told me my maids are coming out today" I asked
" yh
Thier coming out but they're leaving my house"
'what?!' I said out of surprise
What do you mean there leaving this house
They can't work here anymore
They helped you escape and didn't tell me where you were when I asked politely, the reason their not dead is because of you, they can't stay in my house
When I heard this words
I scoffed
Whenever I think he's human he changes my mind as soon a s possible

" no I keep on giving you reasons not to ever leave " he said without any emotion in his eyes.
Just now he's eyes were different but now this are the eyes I know
Filled with hatred and human empathy
" those girls don't have anybody
Thier parents were killed in a war and this is Thier only source.of living
And you want to take it from them"I said no stop

"Sophie, I'm done with this chat " he said before he left the garden
I need to get Thier jobs.

Lucas, he's the only close person to him.
I turned around and I saw him standing behind me.
Whenever I think of him he's just always there
"Youre required to get inside" he said
" pls help Benita and Bernice get Thier  jobs back, they did nothing wrong" I begged
But he scoffed

You act like a compassionate person but you're the most selfish person
If you really cared abt the things you claim to care for you won't have left . You running away yesterday made people loose Thier jobs, and fucking lives

All the guards guarding your chambers .and the external gates lost their jobs and the only person you ask
Abt are those two girls because their your little chat partners??" He said in the calmest mood ever

" well , it's not normal to take someone against Thier will. That's what your friend is doing to me and it's suffocating me everyday"
" your life  was miserable before you were found, you don't even have rights in the society because of your status and you're here and you complain." He said still in a calm mood.
I couldn't say anything because he was right. Everything thing he said
Was true.
I just walked out on him .
He still stood there but I didn't care.
I tried to find my way back to my chambers. It's really far away and the way I see it I'm gonna start crying anytime soon.
Every damn thing he said was true.
Everything was because of me
All jobe tried to do was to help me because I was suffering
But I thought I was always the victim when he never did anything to me
And still he has never hurt me

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realize when I bumbed into someone.
I didn't have to look up to know it was jobe
He's always there

"Are you ok" he asked
I finally looked up at him
He stared at me deeply to detect any thing
"Yeah"I said arranging my gown
"I'm not going to force you speak this time" he said before removing his green gaze from me
" I should go" I said wanting to leave then he called me back
" there's a party in the king's castle in 3 hours, you're coming with me," he Said
" a party ??, I don't wanna go" I said hitting the nail on the head
The last thing I wanted to do was to attend a function to the king whom jobe seems to control with jobe.
" did I ask ?, I clearly didn't.
Meet me a the centre in 3 hours." He said before leaving
