Narrator's POV:
The clock ticked towards 7:50 in the evening, casting a sense of anticipation in the air as Deku and Bakugo readied themselves for a night at the movies. Bakugo, wearing Deku's black hoodie, couldn't help but voice his reluctance. "Do I really have to do this?" he grumbled, his tone laced with a hint of annoyance.
Deku, however, remained steadfast. "Yeah, you do. You promised," he reminded Bakugo, his voice filled with gentle determination. Bakugo couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, questioning the presence of their friends. "But why are the rest coming?" he inquired curiously.
Deku explained, "They asked if I wanted to go to the mall, but I told them I was going to the movies with you. And, well, they invited themselves." As he settled down on his bed, Bakugo let out a sigh and joined him, laying beside him.
In an attempt to ease Bakugo's concerns, Deku reassured him, "Don't worry, Kacchan. It's going to be fun." He then gently picked Bakugo up and placed him on his lap, their closeness bringing a sense of comfort.
Rolling his eyes, Bakugo replied, "I know that, Deku. It's just going to be awkward with Pink Cheeks there." Deku suddenly remembered this detail that had slipped his mind. "Oh right, I almost forgot," he confessed, a hint of nervousness creeping into his voice.
Bakugo couldn't help but laugh at Deku's momentary lapse. "Did you really forget that quickly, nerd?" he teased, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Deku scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, feeling a mix of embarrassment and relief.
Their lighthearted banter was interrupted by the sound of Mina calling out their names. Deku and Bakugo exchanged glances, knowing it was time to join the others downstairs. With a shared sense, they made their way downstairs.
As they descended the staircase, their eyes widened in astonishment at the unexpected sight that awaited them.
