Nunew's POV.

"Thank you na for giving me a chance .." said Mrs Na.

"Don't worry Mrs Na .." I said making her chuckle , holding my arm.

"Please .. just call me Mom na .." she said making me smile.

"Krub .. mom .." I said softly as she sigh , placing her hand on my cheek.

"How can I be so cruel to you na ? Zee really does deserve you .." she said softly as I smile , leaning into her touch.

"How I wish .. I could turn back time , none of this would've happened .. I wouldn't lose my son .. and my son in law .." she said.

"If only I could fix this .." she said as I held her hand.

"You still can na .." I said softly as she chuckled dryly.

"How ? Zee's father isn't easy to talk to .. and Zee .. I don't think he would even want to see me and his father at all .." she said.

"You see , we didn't do a good job of being a parent ..we didn't even attend our own son's wedding .." she said.

"But every day , I hope that we would be a family again .." she said , looking down.

"That's what I wished for too .." I said softly as she looked at me.

"Mom .. I promise na .. I'll help you fix this .." I said softly.

"Slowly .." I continued.

"I promise that I'll bring Nuna to see you often na .." I said as she smile softly , nodding. She then rubbed my arm , nodding.

I sat on the bed , hugging my knees as I pout. I fiddled with the sleeves of my oversized shirt that belongs to Hia.

"I can't tell Hia that I am seeing his mother just yet .. he would be so mad .." I thought as I sigh. I soon heard the door clicked making me turn to see Hia who just got back from work.

"Aow , baby .. why aren't you asleep hm ? It's late .. I told you not to wait for me remember .." he said , placing his phone on the charging stand as he walked over to me , unbuttoning the first few buttons of his shirt.

"I couldn't sleep .." I said softly as he chuckled standing in front of me , holding my hand. He caressed my cheek making me lean in against his touch.

"Is everything okay ?" He asked making me nod.

"Hia .." I said making him hum.

"Can you hold me ?" I asked as he chuckled softly , nodding.

"Come here .." he said making me get up , wrapping my arms around his neck as I hugged him tightly. Hia pulled me closer by the waist making me sigh , leaning my head on his shoulder. We both just stood there in each other's arms. I close my eyes , breathing out. After a while , I pulled away slightly.

"Is there something you need to tell me ?" He asked making me shake my head.

"Mai Krub .. I just needed a hug from my husband after a long day .." I said making him chuckle , caressing my cheek.

"If there's anything you need to talk to me about .. you can always tell me na .." he said as I look at him. He smile before hugging me tightly. My smile slowly disappeared as I sigh heavily , closing my eyes as I hugged him tightly.

"I am so sorry Hia .." I thought.

- next day -

I stare out at the window blankly as I stir the pot of spaghetti. I sigh heavily , feeling nothing but uneasy.

"Babe .." I jumped up in shock , hitting my finger against the hot pot making me hiss in pain.

"Baby !" Exclaim Hia as he ran over to me. I held my finger as he looked at the burn wound.

"Here , place it under running water .." he said as he turned the tap on , placing my finger under the cold running water.

"You should be more careful na .." he scolded gently.

"I called you a couple of times but you didn't answer .." he said as I look at him.

"Sorry .. I was uh .. daydreaming .." I said as he sigh , turning the tap off before pulling me to seat on the chair as he took out a first aid kit. He kneeled down in front of me , taking out a cooling cream before applying it gently on my finger. He blew on it to dry before placing a bandage. I watch as he kissed my bandage finger before looking up to me.

"There .. better ? .." he asked making me smile , nodding. He then sigh , holding both of my hands.

"Baby .. I want you to be honest with me hm .. is there something you want to tell me ?" He asked making me freeze.

"You can talk to me na .." he said as I sigh.

"Hia .." I said making him hum.

"I was thinking .. how about we go and meet your parents .." I said making him frown.

"I know it's a crazy idea but it's been 4 years ever since we last saw them .." I said as he slowly let go of my hand.

"And I thought maybe it's time Nuna get to know your parents .." I said as he slowly got up. He sigh , clearing all the trash before keeping the first aid kit.

"And .. I think it's about time we fix things with t-."

"There's nothing to fix Nhu." He said , cutting me off.

"My parents would not accept us .. just like before .." he said.

"Remember what happened before with my father  .." he said and I sigh , getting up.

"But that was before Hia .. who knows things have changed .." I said calmly as he shook his head.

"I know my father , he will never accept this .. what more if we introduce Nuna to him ! .." He raised his voice slightly as I look at him.

"But don't you feel bad for our Nuna that she has never seen her grandparents from her daddy's side ?" I asked.

"She needs to know who they are one day !" I exclaim.

"They are not her grandparents !" He fought back , throwing me aback. Hia froze , realizing that he raised his voice at me. I clutch my fist as he sigh before grabbing both of my hands , holding it tightly.

"Listen .. I do feel bad that Nuna doesn't know my parents but we are happy now. Without them. Don't you see how happy we three are .. we don't need anyone to ruin it okay .." he said as I look at him.

"Let's just stay aside on our own without anyone interfering .." he continued as I sigh.

"Promise me from now on .. let's not talk about this ..." he said , caressing my cheek.

"Please baby ..." he said making me nod in defeat.

"I am sorry for raising my voice at you .. I don't ever mean to hurt you .." he said.

"It's okay .. I am sorry too .." I said softly making him caress my head before pulling me to his embrace. I hug him tightly , leaning my chin on his shoulder as I sigh.

"I love you na Nhu .." he said.

"I love you too , Hia .." I whispered as I close my eyes.
