-Beyoncé

While our eyes were locked, Megan seemed to have lost focus. The conversation we just had brought me immense relief, as I had been carrying anger within me, believing that she had left without apologizing or checking on me. But, it appears that Shawn must have deceived me regarding the situation.

"Megan." I called her name.

Since she didn't reply, I decided to call her name once again, but this time with a louder voice. "MEGAN!" I shouted.

She jumped. "I'm sorry."

I chuckled and expressed my understanding when I said, "It's fine. I've never quite understood how you can get lost in daydreaming to the point of not being able to hear anything."

"It's a lot you can do when you love someone enough.." Megan said.

I smiled.

"Talking to you made me happy. When I saw you yesterday, I couldn't even wrap my head around the fact that it was really you. I couldn't fully express my happiness due to my lingering upset feelings and stubborn pride." I said.

"Are you happy? Like mentally?" Megan asked.

I directed my gaze towards her and said, "At this moment, I am." A smile formed on my face.

Megan exhaled deeply and directed her gaze towards me. She gently placed her hand on my knee, softly caressing it, and leaned over to plant a kiss on my lips. Although I should have stopped her, I let her continue without hesitation.

"I still feel the same way about you as I did before. I thought the feelings would have faded by now, but hearing your voice yesterday brought everything back." Megan admitted. "And here's your ring, didn't wanna disrespect your fiancé too much." Megan said as she handed me back my engagement ring.

"I didn't even realize it wasn't on my finger.." I said while looking at my hand.

"Because it's not meant to be there." Megan said. "If you truly loved him, you would have immediately noticed that the ring was not on your finger. But because he is a lying ass person, you failed to notice it."

"I do love him." I told Megan. "Me and him just have been going through a—"

Megan cut me off. "If that was a ring I gave you, I bet you would've noticed. Now tell me I'm lying."

I met Megan'a eyes, and to my surprise, she maintained eye contact with me once again.

"Am I lying?" Megan questioned.

I hunched my shoulders. "Megan, I can't answer that." I said.

"Mhm, sure." Megan mumbled. "I'm gonna go ahead and go now."

"Why?" I asked.

"There's nothing else to talk about..." Megan said.

"Please take care of yourself, because I love and need you. If you need someone to talk to about your emotions, feel free to message or call me. What occurred was a mistake, but I forgive you. Though it caused me pain, I won't hold it against you because God's plans are unpredictable." I told her.

"I hear you." Megan gazed into my eyes and then looked away quickly. "Unlock the car door."

I sighed.

"What?" Megan asked.

"I can't explain it, but I simply don't want you to leave just yet." I responded.

"Beyoncé, I'm gonna tell you now if I stay inside this car any longer, I'm gonna do some shit I shouldn't do. I can't resist you for a long amount of time, Beyoncé. It is beyond my control." Megan stated

"Okay..." I said before unlocking the doors.

"I wanna respect you and show you how much I've changed. I'm not the same immature 'ignorant bitch' I used to be." Megan said.

"I'm sorry about that... I was feeling so many emotions that day." I apologized.

"Oh, I know. I was being disrespectful in your house so I'm not even mad about it anymore." Megan said.

Later, Megan and I parted ways for the day. I returned home with the intention of talking to Shawn and questioning if he lied about Megan. She claimed to have left a message for me, while he insisted she left without saying anything.

When I walked into the house, I called for Shawn. "Baby, I'm home."

Shawn walked out of the guest bedroom. "Welcome home." He said.

"I need to speak with you, but I don't want to engage in any conflict or arguments; I simply want to have a smooth conversation with you." I said calmly.

"Alright. What's up?" Shawn sat down at the kitchen table.

I sat down across from him. "I seen Megan today." I paused and looked at his face to see if his facial expression would change. "She and I had a lengthy conversation, during which we inevitably touched on the incident from a couple of years ago. She informed me that she had asked you to pass along a message to me. But you told me that she left without uttering a single word. This situation has caused me to feel anger and emotional pain for years, as I found it highly unfair that she chose to remain silent and not apologize. So, why didn't you tell me what she said the night she left the hospital?"

Shawn blew his breath. "So you don't believe me? That shit is crazy." He said.

"I want to make it clear that I do believe you, baby. But, I have a question that I would like to ask just to confirm because I know how upset you were that night. Sometimes when someone is very upset, it is difficult for them to think clearly. This applies to everyone." I said.

"Fuck out my face, Bey." Shawn said before getting up.

"Shawn, are you serious right now?" I got up.

"I don't like that girl. It's a weird feeling that I get when you mention her." Shawn said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"It feels like something is going on between you and her, I know it sounds silly. I trust that you wouldn't get into any inappropriate behavior with your students.." Shawn paused. "You wouldn't would you?" He asked and looked at me.

"Shawn..." I don't wanna lie to him but if I tell him the truth, anything could happen.

"Answer my question." Shawn grilled me.

"No... no I wouldn't." I said.

Shawn stared at me intensely and then walked away from me. "Don't bring her up anymore." He said.

I attempted to ask him about the situation, but it is evident that he has no desire to discuss her. And him questioning me is causing me anxiety since he is beginning to have suspicions about megan. I am afraid of any information being revealed.
