I also have a least favorite Jenna character: Mabel.
She is boring, one-dimensional, and literally serves no purpose for the plot except for being ass for our BORING ASS DEUTERAGONIST.
The throw away lines about college, wanting to be better than the life she has while also... doing nothing but chasing fish dick around is crazy.
I liked that Jenna picked a "rough n scruffy" character, but Mabel is not as near as interesting as anyone else in her catalog.
For me, her peak character is Cairo (before this Vada. And yes, we haven't seen her yet, I know, but the Miller's Girl script... CHEF'S KISS) and her absolute worst is Mabel. Like before, I always thought Tara was boring.. but my god, MABEL??????????
Mabel takes the cake.
That said, I don't see myself writing with Mabel. I can't imagine how the reader would even fit into the universe because the girl's whole arc is chasing fish dick.
