It was afternoon when Rhea sent me a text. She had the next few days off and I could already tell she would be checking in with me a lot. She even said she's come into pick me up again soon. So I couldn't wait to see her.

I smiled. My heart smiled.

"What's making you grin so hard?" Ollie asked me skeptical in our dressing room.

I smiled. "Rhea."

Ollie nodded. "Still can't believe you were being honest about that. And how does she have that much muscle, fuck." He laughed under his breath.

I replied to Rhea.

Rhea took a while to reply and I know she was translating it.

She eventually replied.

Rhea 🖤: You know what I'm thinking about right now?

My stomach coiled... She said she wanted it to be special.

My fingers stalled.

I dropped my phone.

I just told her that I loved her. Through a text... I also just realised that I loved her... through text.

I picked my phone back up, and Rhea didn't reply.

Please... I didn't screw this up did I?

Then my phone vibrated and Rhea replied.

Was she upset? Angry?

Shit.

Oh my god... I couldn't even smile because I loved her... I can't believe...

"What's made you so white?" Ollie asked me.

I looked at him and closed my eyes. "I just told Rhea I loved her." I spat out.

Ollie looked at me weirdly, then realisation came on his face. "For the first time?! Over text?! Kat!" He jumped up and ran over to look at my text message. "And all she said was that?" He stared at it. I looked at him for support, then he broke in a playful smile. "Scissors."
