Chapter 28

The summer flew by. Jimin and Jiyoon do a lot of fun things with their parents, but also with Yoongi's parents. They got to know each other better and get along very well. Yoongi's parents are very happy with Yoongi's choice. When Yoongi came out of the closet and said he was gay, they initially thought it was a shame, because they thought they would never become grandparents. But nowadays there are of course alternative ways to become a parent and now they are even grandparents because of Jiyoon, with whom they get along very well. They are happy that Yoongi has found his happiness, they were always a little worried about him. He was fine with it all and never tried hard to find a good job to support himself. But now, thanks to Namjoon and Jimin, things are going well and they are very proud of him.

Yoongi and Namjoon are very busy writing lyrics and producing the new songs for the various new groups. Jimin comes by every now and then with Jiyoon and then they watch the dance training. Jimin enjoys watching the progress and occasionally gives some tips, which are gratefully used.

Bang Si-hyuk has already indicated that he would like to offer him a contract to work for him, but Jimin has declined the friendly offer. His home is now in New York and he wants to be there for Jiyoon, even if she has to go to school next year and then it is not nice to abandon her and have to fly to Seoul for dance training. Bang Si-hyuk completely understands his reason and now also understands why Yoongi wants to work from New York so badly. He is happy that he was able to give Yoongi this opportunity, even though Jimin doesn't know anything about it yet.

The last days of Jimin and Jiyoon's stay have arrived and Yoongi would like to take Jimin on one more date before he leaves for New York. Jiyoon stays with Yoongi's parents after a tiring day at an amusement park where they took her.

Yoongi and Jimin get into Jimin's parents' car and Yoongi drives to an unknown destination for Jimin. He drives out of Seoul and Jimin looks at him questioningly. "What are we going to do here?" Jimin asks, but Yoongi has already gotten out and is busy getting some things from the trunk. Jimin also gets out and sees that Yoongi has a large picnic basket in his hands. "Come along babe, it's close by," Yoongi says and gives some pillows to Jimin. They start walking and soon they come to a wide field with all kinds of flowers.

"Wow," Jimin says, bawling his eyes. "How beautiful," he exclaims and walks into the field to look at the flowers and smell them. Meanwhile, Yoongi puts the blanket and pillows down in the shade and takes the goodies from the basket. Together with Jimin's mother, he prepared everything that Jimin likes.

Jimin walks back with a bouquet of flowers, which he gives to Yoongi. "For you," he says and gives Yoongi a kiss on the cheek. He sits down next to Yoongi on the blanket and leans against Yoongi with the pillow. He looks at all the goodies on the blanket and his face starts to shine. "Oh honey, that all looks very delicious, did you make it all yourself?" he asks Yoongi.

Yoongi blushes. "With the help of your mother, we made it. Enjoy your meal, love," he says and they start eating together while enjoying the surroundings. "Hmm, it's so good honey," Jimin says, enjoying his food. They enjoy each other that afternoon.

At the end of the afternoon they decide to drive back to Jimin's parents to return the car and belongings. They have a nice chat and play a few board games, after which Yoongi and Jimin decide to walk to Yoongi's apartment.

Once there, they both flop down on the couch, tired. "Shall we put on another movie?" Jimin asks. "Yes, that's fine," says Yoongi, "just pick one." Jimin chooses a romantic movie and grabs something to drink for both of them. He turns on the movie, puts the drink on the table, grabs the blanket on the couch and crawls onto the couch with Yoongi.

They lie together on the couch under the blanket when a romantic scene begins in the film.
