teenagers do dumb things, and duncan and gwen were both teenagers as well as courtney. gwen didn't necessarily break 'girl code' cos duncan kissed her first (i think) and she couldn't exactly help that she had a crush on her friend's boyfriend. it's hard but you can't always control feelings, only compress it, which most of the time makes it worse
the way courtney reacted to finding out duncan cheated on her with gwen wad completely valid, because like what were you expecting, her to go give gwen a hug or like talk it out calmly? that doesnt sound like the courtney i know
gwen got sm blame for this its sad. courtney hates duncan but for some reason she hated gwen for what she did even more except it wasnt fully her fault and the show painting her as a villain was just sad
duncan did not get enough hate for this but he probably regrets kissing gwen too cos like he simped for courtney half the time they (gwen n duncan) dated
also the company forcing the producers to make gwuncan happen cos their "colour schemes suited better"? 💀💀 duncney wasnt perfect but they were supposed to be my endgame
except courtney was a tad but possessive. duncan clearly couldnt handle what she made him do in action with the 23972739273 page essay on rules of dating her, it's in her nature to do that but give him a break 😔
gwent was also supposed to be the best ever ship to exist ever, because it was like written in the stars when they met on island, and then they just ruined what they had 😭 trent had such potential to be a good boyfrienddddddddd
gwen not finding love in the end is sad bc she deserved it and courtney deserved to win at least one season. idk what duncan is on man
duncney was also really toxic but for some reason the most popular ship in the show? gwent deserved a second chance (except in this book its trustin cos in trustin we trust)
gwen haters are courtney lovers, courtney haters are gwen lovers, personally i cant choose bc i see their rights n wrongs
also courtney apparently having an ed? courtney lashing out makes a lot of sense honestly and her temper and attitude towards others can seem annoying and ignorant but i think theres a backstory
