16. Happy Holi

Author's POV:

Finally it is the festival of colours today, Holi. The Randhawa's throw the biggest holi party in Jaipur every year inviting their friends, family and close ones. The Holi party will be taking place outside the house that is on the lawn which can occupy more than thousands of people. The entire lawn was decorated with fabrics of different colours, fairy lights all looking so colourful.

"Yeh lijiye Yuv bhaiya, isko rakh dijiye table pe!", saying Aradhya handed Yuvraj the last lot of snacks.
(Take this Yuv bhaiya keep this on the table.)

"Haa bhabhi! Baki sab ready hai na?", Yuvraj said while arranging the table full of snacks and sweets.
(Yes bhabhi! Everything else is ready na ?)

"Yes bhai, saab tayaar kar liya hum  ne!", now said Yashika.
(Yes bhai, I have done everything!)

"Aur special thandai?", Yuvraj asked raising his brows.
(And special thandai?)

"Woh bhi ready hai Yuvraj bhaiya, aap zarha check karlo!", now said Niharika from behind.
(That's also ready Yuvraj bhaiya, you just check once!)

"Nahi nahi thik hai! Toh phir holi k liye taiyaar?", Yuvraj said in an excited tone.
(No no it's alright! So ready for holi?)

"Yessss!!!", everyone said in unison.

"Hey guys party started?", said Rohan entering the party.

"Hi Rohan!", said Yashika in an excited tone.

"Hello Yashika! You look great. All of you look great! Toh party started?", Rohan asked smiling.

"No Mr. Nanda, you're on time!", Aradhya said chuckling.

"You can call me Rohan Mrs. Randhawa. I'm Adhiraj's very old friend no need to be formal with me!", Rohan said smiling.

"Then you can also call me Aradhya, Rohan. I'm also your friend's wife!", Aradhya replied him back.

"By the way Aaru, humare jija ji nazar nahi a rahe hai! Kaha hai woh?", now asked Niharika in a teasing tone.
(By the way Aaru, where is my brother in law?)

"Haan ji saali sahiba yaha hai hum! Asal mein aapke yeh miya kho gaye the isiliye inko dhund k lana padha!", now said Adhiraj from behind pointing at Akash.
(Yes sister in law here I am! Actually this lover of yours got lost so I had to go to find him!)

Everyone chuckled listening to him except Niharika. She didn't even take a look at Akash. She smiled at Adhiraj but never looked at Akash.

"Aaj holi hi hai na?", Akash asked wrinkling his brows.
(Today's Holi right?)

"Haa kyu?", all of them asked in unison, except Niharika who was looking at him with teary eyes.
(Yes why?)

"Yuv!", Akash said with a mischievous smile on his face. Both of them went towards the table where the colours were kept. Both of them fisted some colour on their palms.

"Kya baat hai bhai? Tum dono aise kyu dekh rahe ho mujhe!?", Yashika said looking at Akash and Yuvraj who were taking slow steps towards her.
(What happened bhai? Why are you both looking at me like this!?)

"Kyu ki....hum tumko raang laga k bhoot banayenge!", saying Akash and Yuvraj applied colour all over Yashika's face.
(Because....we both will apply color on your face and turn you into a ghost!)

"Aaahhh! Bhai, Akash bhaiyaa!!!", Yashika said pouting.

"Tumhe bohot haasi a rahi hai Rohan! Wait...", saying Yashika took some colour and approached towards Rohan.
(You're laughing too much Rohan! Wait..)
