I can't believe that Sonje is alive. The tip of my nose wrinkled, and I buried my face in the futon and cried, "Ugh, Sonjae, I'm alive," when I heard a thud coming from somewhere. She stopped crying and looked up. I thought I heard something, and just as I was about to listen, someone knocked on the door. I held my breath and looked toward the front door.
"I know what's inside."
I jumped out of bed. With a thud, something fell to the floor. It's a pocket watch. So the person standing outside the door right now was the owner of the clock. As I cleared my mind, I got goosebumps and panicked.
I stood in front of the front door with a pocket watch in hand. He pressed his ear to the cold door and focused his attention on the sounds of people outside. "He's dead," he said to himself, and then he heard a rustling sound.
'What, was this something that could have killed you?' he asked, his eyes widening, and his cell phone rang loudly. He nodded back to his room. I held my breath. I held my breath and my cell phone kept crying in my room. Suddenly, there was another knock at the front door. He turns his head back to the door.
"Take it."
The man standing outside the door said if he had heard the cell phone ringing in the house. I ran into my room and picked up my phone.
"Hello?"
― Give it to me quickly. I don't have time.
"I'll give it to you. I'm going to give it to you......."
It was a house where a woman lived alone, and she couldn't open the door to someone she didn't know. I don't know if there was a milk dispenser on the front door, but there wasn't one, and there wasn't even a safety hook. That's when I noticed a shopping bag on the floor.
"Don't be at the front door, stand at the outside door."
― Yes?
"I'll give it to you if you're outside."
― What are you talking about, really?
"Hurry up. Hang up."
I hung up the phone and picked up my shopping bag. I was afraid that I would be held accountable if my pocket watch fell by mistake and smashed it, so I put it in my sleeping socks on the clothes dryer. She tied her sleeping socks around the ankles with elastic bands and tucked them into a shopping bag. I tied the gift-wrapping string I had left for the throw away to lengthen it and tied it to the handle of the shopping bag.
I crept open the window and looked down. The owner of the watch folded his arms and looked up with a very disapproving face.
"Now...... I'm getting off now."
"Oh, wait!"
As I pushed my shopping bag out of the window, the owner of the watch shouted urgently.
"What are you doing? Are you kidding me?"
"The watch is safe. I put it in well. Take it."
Slowly dangling the strap and pulling the shopping bag down. The owner of the watch said absurdly, "Wow, I'm going crazy!" and prepared to receive the shopping bag from the third floor to the first floor.
The rope slowly descended and almost reached the bottom when the owner of the watch grabbed the shopping bag and the rope slipped out of his hand. I poked my face over the window frame and looked down. The owner of the watch looked up angrily, saying, "What, are these socks?"
He lowered his head as hastily as a mole, and slowly lifted it up when it was quiet outside. I could see the owner of the watch scrubbing the pocket watch with his sleeve.
