29. Mother

"Non, why did you do that?" Ohm asked.

"Do what?" Nanon acted oblivious.

"Don't act innocent, Non. You know what I am talking about. "

"What are you talking about, Ohm?" Nanon pressed his lips together suppressing the smile threatening to break seeing how angry his husband looked.

"Why did you kiss me, Non?" Ohm asked specifically. 

A few minutes ago, as they were making their way to the groom's room next to the wedding venue, Nanon suddenly offered to fix his crooked bow tie. Not finding anything weird about the offer, Ohm stood still, letting Nanon correct his bow tie. But what happened next was something that he never expected to happen. Nanon kissed him. That too on his own.

Well, it couldn't be called a kiss, nor could it be called a peck. Nanon had actually pressed his lips against Ohm's for a good two minutes, with his arms around his neck.

Others might not find it odd as both of them were a married couple, but Ohm knew that his husband wasn't the kind of person who would kiss him out of the blue just like that without a reason especially since he knew that Nanon was unwilling to acknowledge their marriage. 

"Didn't I always used to kiss you when we were kids?" Nanon tried to brush the topic away.

"Non, you always kissed me. But it was on my cheeks not on my lips. So, tell me why."

Nanon sighed and gave in. "Your mom was watching."

"What?"

"Your mom was watching. I just wanted to irritate her." Nanon shrugged.

Ohm face palmed "Just why would you do that?" 

Perth had especially told him that they shouldn't provoke their parents as he didn't want any family drama at the wedding. He couldn't believe that Nanon had already gotten on his mother's nerves.

"Because she came to me and yelled at me yesterday, saying that I took you away from her and her family. She insulted me. As far as I heard, you married me according to your own wish. I didn't point a gun to your head and tell you to marry me that she is acting like that," Nanon responded.

"Still~"

"Hia Ohm! Him Non!" Fourth's voice cut Ohm off. He was running to the couple. "Thank god, you two are here." He panted heavily. "I had been looking for you guys everywhere."

Ohm had a gut feeling that something was wrong. "What happens, Fot? Is everything alright?"

Fourth had his hands on his hips as he caught his breath. "Nothing is alright, Hia," He gulped. "Hia Mon is missing."

"What? What do you mean missing? Did you search everywhere?" Nanon asked.

"Yes, Hia. We did." Fourth straightened up. "We searched the whole resort and the nearby areas, but Hia Mon is nowhere to be found. We tried calling him as well, but we couldn't reach him."

"Where could he go just like that? That too on his wedding day?" Ohm frowned.

"Hia Perth said that they got into an argument last night and Hia Mon left in anger. He thought that Hia Mon would come back in the morning after he had calmed down, but he hasn't."

"Why the heck would he argue with his fiancé on the night before the wedding?" Ohm was frustrated as hell.

"That, Hia, Hia Mon invited P' Love to be his groom's maid. Hia Perth didn't like it. So..." Fourth trailed off. He knew his elder was very possessive of Chimon and completely hated every single ex of his. It wasn't a surprise to him when he heard that his brother reacted like that.

"When did he leave?" Nanon asked.

"Hia Perth said that he left around midnight," Fourth replied.

"Damn it!" Ohm cursed, massaging his temples.

Nanon looked at the time and started instructing, "There's less than an hour to the wedding. Ohm, contact the airport authorities and check if Chimon has mounted any flight. Fourth, contact the bus stations. I will try to get all the CCTV footage around here."

"What do you mean, Hia Nanon? Do you mean that Hia Mon had left the place?" Fourth asked, panic written all over his face.

"I am afraid so, Nong. I know how Mon is. He is as stubborn as a mule. He is not going to let this wedding happen until Perth learns to respect his boundaries." Nanon answered as he fiddled through the phone to get the number of the authorities.

"But Hia Perth didn't try to disrespect him." Fourth defended his brother.

Nanon paused and looked at his cousin-in-law. "Nong, today's wedding is not just Perth's, it's Chimon's as well. He has all right to decide who he wants to invite to his wedding. He should be the one making the call of who must be present here today from his side. Perth has no right to dictate him over that."

He just hoped that Chimon hadn't left the previous night, and they still had the option of talking things out rather than canceling the wedding as a whole.

Fourth went silent and could only nod in response. He could see that Nanon was visibly pissed at Perth.

The trio started making calls anxiously.

"Any luck?" Phuwin asked as he and Gemini joined them.

"Not yet" Ohm replied. "We absolutely cannot let the elders know of this. We need to handle it by ourselves." He cautioned.

"Well, we already know, Ohm," Ohm stiffened as he heard his mother's voice.

He turned and saw that not only was his mother there but his whole family was there, his father, Perth's parents, his grandparents, his sister, and her husband. He could already see red.

"Mom," He stuttered.

"I had always known that that kid was up to no good. I told you all as well. But you never listened to me." Aruna scowled. "Now bear with it! Didn't he just embarrass you in front of all the guests? Didn't he just turn our whole family into a goddamn joke?"

"Mom, please calm down. You can't accuse him like that." Ohm interrupted his mother's rants.

"You shut up! No one is talking to you!" She shot him a warning glare before turning to the crowd. "And do you know who the mastermind behind all this is?" She smirked. "This vixen!" She pointed at Nanon.

Ohm was shocked by his mother's accusations while Nanon just stared at her coldly, without showing any kind of reaction.

"This vixen must have egged him on! He must have egged him on to seduce Perth, just the way he seduced my son! This damn vixen~"

"THAT'S ENOUGH, MAA!" Ohm roared. He was really mad. He had been holding back his anger ever since he heard that his mother insulted his husband the previous day, as he didn't want to cause a scene at a family function like his cousin's wedding. But his mother's words had ticked him off.

Aruna looked at her son in disbelief. "Ohm, son, did you just shout at your Maa? That too for this vixen. You~"

"He is my husband, Maa. His name is Nanon Korapat Kirdpan Chittsawangdee." Ohm said firmly.
