((What if the interaction with Moxxie/Error and the rats went differently.
    Note: Why did I do this?))

"Hey Mox I'm going inside really quick." Maria got off the ground. Pat some of the dirt, dust off her. "You can stop if you like. Don't eat anything out here. I'm going to get us some drinks."

Response she got, well saw, was them knobbing their head at her direction. Then go back to pulling the weeds out the ground to not get in the way of their small vegetable patch.

The whiskey maker smiles as she rushes to the back door. Real quick to go use the bathroom.

The child continues to find anything to pull out of the ground. Not bothered by the dirt, heat or doing such a kind of work. Its something they are slowly getting use too. To do something so normal. Normal for a Hell standpoint at least in the Wrath ring.

Squeak!

Stop what they are doing. Turn to see a creature coming into the vegetable garden.

A rat?

Blink but then recall Maria talking about them. Something about troublemakers. That can't do. Reach forward to grab it to go put it over the fence.

A nasty little hiss like squeak. Sharp teeth come out to bite down at the child. Will go down fighting!

Huh?

Moxxie let out a confused chirp at what they're doing. Then annoyance comes forward next how they were feeling. Glare at the rat that was still biting them.

Nope.

Grab it with their free hand to be lifted up. Pull their hand away from the animal mouth. Study their hand over. No, pain really but now got to hid it. Last thing they want is to Maria be worry about them. Also, not wanting to go back to see that troll anytime soon even if the candy was good. Not bothered by the animal squirming. Until their free hand reach out. Almost got bit again.

So, what did they do?

They bit back at the rat around the neck.

Didn't tear off any skin. Didn't eat it. Didn't throw it. Just gone to bite them. A warning nip. Would see their blasters do that a lot with the smaller ones. Same with a few monsters too. Might give them the same results.

The four eyes rodent stay still. Thought it was the end of it. Instead, was being bitten down like how their own mother would do to them and many of their siblings. Felt their neck get le go. Eyes very wide at what is going on. Shook their as they hissed back. Can't be distracted what this little impling did.

Let out a snarl at the creature. Then reach out to flick their snout. It stops the rodent from hissing at them.

The rat looks really lost right now.

Goes to point at the vegetable patch, the barn and other parts of the area. Head shake no. A look of warning to not take, steal or devour what belong to Maria.
