Never Be Alone

It was a normal day at school. Sitting in choir waiting for the teacher to walk in late like usual. I waited patiently for my friends to come but I noticed someone extremely important to me walk in; y/n. I watched her drag her feet in with a sad look on her face. She sighed sitting next to me leaning back into her chair.

"Y/n you okay?" I asked smiling. "You look sad"

"Oh Shawn, I'm fine. I don't wanna vent to you" she chuckled waving her hand at me.

"Come y/n talk to me" I begged.

She sighed and then smiled back.

"I don't know I've just been feeling a little sad lately. I don't know what it is, but my mood just dropped a lot lately" she said huffing at the end.

"I'm sorry" I replied holding her knee.

She chuckled and smiled.

"Don't worry about" she said leaning back into her chair.

"Shawn! Do you wanna eat lunch with me?"
Y/n asked waving me over during lunch time.

I nodded and smiled. We sat under a big tree with nice shading from the blistering sun above us.

"So do you feel any better?" I asked still worried.

"Not really, I don't know I just feel kind of lonely I guess" she sighed shrugging.

"I'm sorry" I repeated.

I didn't know what to say.

"No it's fine Shawn I mean, I can't do anything about it, you can't do anything about" she replied flicking her hair behind her shoulders.

She shrugged pulling at the grass sitting beneath us. I looked at her, sighed, and lifted her chin.

"I can do something about it" I smiled.

I pressed my lips on hers and she fell back into the kiss. She let go fluttering her eyes open.

"Oh wow" she giggled nervously.

"don't worry y/n, you'll never be alone with me" I replied grabbing her hand.
