I heard the bell go off and saw Shawn walk in with his guitar. He flashed me a smile sliding into the same booth as yesterday.

"Hey Shawn" I blushed.

"Hey y/n, you look beautiful today" he smiled.

I looked at the floor and smiled back. No boy has ever made me feel this way.

"Working on the new song?" I asked cleaning the counter.

"Yeah, I think I know who it's about but-"

"Oh! That's cool"

"Yeah, but I don't know" he shrugged continuing to play around with the strings on his guitar.

"I'm sure it'll turn out great and she'll love it Shawn, I know I will when I hear it" I said.

He smiled and chuckled a little.

"if you like it, then she will. You guys are very similar"

I nodded and walked into the kitchen grabbing him a cup of coffee. I set it in front of him and cleaned the booths around him.

"I love it when you just don't care" he sang to himself.

He played with the strings until he sang the next verse. I sway back and forth feeling my dress rub up against my legs. I closed my eyes feeling the music.

"I love you dance like there's nobody there" he said smirking at me.

My eyes shot open and I quickly ran back behind the counter. I was so embarrassed. I was standing there dancing like an idiot not minding that the cutest kid I've ever seen was watching me. I turned around and slapped my forehead.

"But when it gets hard don't be afraid. We don't care what them people say" he sang.

I shivered at his voice. So beautiful, so talented. I'm jealous of whoever this is dedicated too. My night shift was almost and Shawn asked me if I wanted to sit and talk with him. He went to Pine Ridge like me but he's been working on this song and we didn't have any classes together. He was smart, kind, funny, and super shy at times. But I always made him laugh, which made me feel good.

"Well I have to go but I'll see you tomorrow?" He said.

I nodded and smiled clearing off the table.

"Bye beautiful" he smirked kissing my cheek.

Leaving me behind. My mouth dropped as I watched him leave. The cup slipped from my hands and shattered on the floor. I jumped and shook my head from the trance. I cleaned it up and looked where he sat. What a quaint guy, I like him, I like him a lot.
