Hetty's POV

I gathered my team and we all headed to the airport in route for Washington, when we arrived we all stayed at a safe house where we started unpacking and the complaining already started from my agents

Kensi: hetty please tell me I don't have to share a room with the guys, Nell and I would make better roommates

Ms. Blye, one set of you will have to share a room together and nobody wants to bunk with your partner so you're stuck with him. Everyone else will be able to have a separate room and there are two beds so you should be fine

Callen: why are we here?

Agent Sarah wright of our Paris branch died in a plane crash last weekend and we are here to give our support to her family, she was one of us and she left behind a fourteen-year-old daughter so the least we could do is be here

Deeks: Sarah wright was the name of my high school girlfriend. I could never forget her, blonde hair blue eyes and she did all my math homework because she was really smart. That's a weird coincidence

It's not a coincidence, she's the same girl. Ms wright worked at the pentagon after leaving the agency less than a year ago

Sam: what did I girl like that saw in a guy like you?

Deeks: I know you only say mean things out of love

Sam: I'm going to bed

The team went up to bed. The next morning, we all got up early and dressed ourselves for the funeral. Two cars arrived around seven o'clock in the morning and they took us to the church where we sat through the most heartwarming service and we followed to the graveyard where agent Wright's daughter Skylar went up to say a few words

Skylar: my mother was my everything, she was the nicest person in the world and the pain of losing her is unbearable. Mom was my best friend, she was the only family I ever knew and I don't know what to do now that she's gone (tears started falling down Skylar's face) mom used to enjoy when we sang together so I'm going to sing one of her favorite songs as they lower her body into the ground

Skylar stood up and sang her lung out to the song I was here by beyoncé. It was such a beautiful way for her to say goodbye to her mom. Before Skylar sat down a van pulled up and about four masked men came out firing at her and my team managed to quickly get her out of there and into the NCIS Washington office

Gibbs: Skylar are you hurt?

Skylar just stood there shaking in fear until Ziva went and hugged her

Ziva: everything's going to be fine Skylar

Skylar: I want to go home, back to Paris

Tony: Your mom already had you packed up to move to Los Angeles with a letter to give to someone. To figure out what's going on we need to know why she was sending you away

Skylar: she said it was to keep me safe, she didn't say more on the situation

Tony: where's the letter?

Skylar: in my jacket pocket. She said Abby would tell me who it's for. Why are people trying to kill me?

Tony: one thing at a time. Abby where was the letter supposed to be sent

Abby got the letter from Skylar's jacket and handed it over to deeks and said " I don't know you guys too well but your detective deeks right?"

Deeks: yes

Abby: she made me swear that you'd get that letter if anything were to ever happen to her. She said she hasn't spoken to you in years but to make sure you read the letter and all of it because she wants you to know why

Deeks: why what?

Abby: you'll have to read the letter to find out

Deeks took a seat and opened the letter
