// Sadie //
"This is so much fun." Summer giggles, Taking a sip of her tea. "I love your taditions. Wearing ugly sweaters and listening to christmas music while cooking. It's great."
"Well we're happy to have you over." I smile. "So we've been cooking all day and I know you must be tired so why don't you just go into the living room with Aymie and I'll fix us all a small plate." I suggest. She nods. "Thanks so much again for letting me join you guys." She says before walking out.
I grin to myself before walking towards the table so I can fix us some sandwiches. I'm having a really great time. Me, Summer and Aymie have been cooking all day. It's a tiring process but it's also very calming for me.
My phone rings and I'm quick to pick it up. I've been expecting a call from Dean today. "Hello?" I almost yell. He chuckles. "Well hello to you too, Baby."
"Where are you? Are you doing alright?" I ask. I'm still uneasy about him having to spend the holidays alone. I just hope he has a good time at his house. Maybe he'll catch up with friends or sit around in a bar watching football. As long as he's happy.
"I'm fine, Don't worry." He laughs. "I'm at the airport. The plane should be here any minute. I just wanted to call and see if you're having fun." "I am. Me and the girls are almost done cooking I think. We've been having a really good time all day."
"Well that's good. I know this has been a really short phone call but I have to go. I love you."
"I love you too. Thanks for calling me." I smile. "Have a safe flight."
"I will. Bye babe."
"Bye." I hang up and sigh a little before getting back to my sandwiches.
// Aymie //
I sigh as me and Summer have a bit of a staring contest. Something about this girl rubs me the wrong way. She seems nice and she seems like a good person but still, There's a voice in the back of my head making me believe she isn't what she seems. She literally has not done a single thing wrong. She hasn't looked at me or Sadie the wrong way, She hasn't said anything rude about anyone. She's just...Normal. But I swear something about her is not right at all.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Or maybe I'm just a bit jealous.
Summer and Sadie are really close now. Sometimes Sadie goes on and on about how much of a great friend Summer is to her. Sometimes she goes on and on about how she's her new best friend and how they always have each other's backs. I guess that just annoys me a little. I always thought that I was Sadie's best friend. Deep down, I know that me and my sister have a bond that cannot be broken, But still. I feel a little threatened by Summer.
"Do I have something on my face?" She laughs after a while. I shake my head. "No, Sorry." I mutter.
"It's alright...You don't seem to like me much." She states. I sigh. "Why would you think that?"
"You've been quiet all day. And you've been giving me some serious side eye." She laughs. "It's alright. A lot of people don't like me when they first meet me." She shrugs. I nod.
"Okay I made us all ham and cheese sandwiches. And I may or may not have added in a bit of mustard and pickles..." Sadie says coming into the living room. I laugh. I love her ham and cheese sandwiches!
// Dean //
I sigh, Tapping my foot and cracking my knuckles as I wait for my plane. I can't wait for Thanksgiving to be over. I just want to be back with my girlfriend, Relaxing and laughing and having fun. I'm happy that she's happy though. She seems to be having a great time with Aymie and Summer.
I take a long sip of my coffee and shake my head slightly as it burns my throat. This must be my fourth cup of coffee and yet I'm still feeling drained. I just need a little bit of rest, I guess. Work has been demanding as always and I haven't been sleeping well.
Plus, I'm always antsy when it's almost time to board my plane and it sucks the energy right out of me.
I wish I could call Sadie back. Hearing her voice is so calming and I wish I could listen to her talk all day. Hearing from her immediately makes me feel so much better.
Oh well. I'll see her soon enough, I guess.
A/N: This is super short because it's just a filler. Believe me, The next chapter will be good.
