Movie Summary:

So this man Chris Flynn is seen driving down a road, but he is soon stopped by an accident with a truck transporting chemical products blocking the road up ahead. Chris is in a hurry to get to a job meeting (I think) and so he decides to go to this creepy gas station with this creepy owner. Chris finds this map and decides to take this side road to get to his job interview. Chris starts down this little dirt road through the mountains of West Virginia until he comes across another car pulled over. Due to his lack of attention to the road he hits the car that was parked in the middle of the road with flat tires and totals his car.

He meets five friends who where planning to camp in the woods until they ran over barbed wire. Chris, Jessie, Carly and her fiancé Scott leave Francine and her boyfriend Evan at the crashed cars while they go and try to find help. Chris and his group find a creepy old cabin and go in and explore it. They find unusual objects, and chopped up body parts. Meanwhile the three cannibalistic mountain men kill Francine and Evan. I can’t remember their names, but they relate to their looks. They have become horribly disfigured through generations of in breeding and I assume chemicals as well. The three cannibals then take their truck back to their cabin. Chris and his group hide in the cabin and watch as they cut up Francine.

The group manages to escape but Scott is shot with an arrow. Chris Jessie, and Carly manage to steal the cannibal’s truck and take off. However they get the truck stuck and then have to walk. They come across this wooden tower thing. I guess it’s a post of some sort. They climb up, crack some glow sticks and find a radio. They get in contact and explain their situation. They are told to stay where they are and that some one would be out there.

However the three cannibals find them and light the tower on fire. Chris, Jessie and Carly jump in the trees trying to escape them but Carly is killed. Jessie and Chris hide out in a cave. They also fall in love. The next morning they are about to leave but when Chris walks ahead Jessie is caught and captured and brought back to the cabin. Chris runs into a sheriff that was sent to look for them but is shot by one of the cannibals with an arrow. Chris makes his way back to the cabin and saves Jessie. He fights with the cannibals and then blows up the cabin. Jessie and Chris walk out and drive back to the gas station where they remove the map with the side route leading to the cannibals.

I guess they live happily ever after thinking the crazy men are dead. However there is a scene where these cops find the cabin and are attacked by the cannibals. THE END!!!!

My Review:

This movie is pretty bad. The effects suck, there isn’t even many. I also find it very similar to ‘The Hills Have Eyes’ the group finds a lot of abandon cars and there is a single ear seen, in both movies. This movie has no wow factor, just another low budget crazy killer movie.

There really isn’t anything else to say about this movie. The actors were pretty good. The cannibals were my favourites, the way they laugh is hilarious, and I would love to have it as my ringtone.

Yeah so it’s a two stars for me, for its lack of ‘scary’ scenes and lame effects. I would recommend this movie to anyone who has nothing else to do late at night. Pop this movie in for something to do.
