Movie Summary:

A teenage zombie living at an airport full of zombies wants to feel and express his feelings. He shuffles around the airport, telling us what he wants with a voice over. He has one friend that he grunts to every now and then. At night he goes to an abandoned airplane with his collection of stuff and his records he likes to play. One day while he is out looking for food his group of zombies find a group of young adults looking for medicine. This group includes Julie, her boyfriend Perry, her best friend, and a few others they came from a guarded cement walled safety area. The zombie boy attacks the humans; he kills Perry and eats his brains. He then has access to the dead guys memories. He sees images of him kissing Julie and takes a liking to her. While the other zombies are trying to eat the others he takes Julie away, rubs his filthy hand on her to cover her human scent and takes her to his airplane.

Once there Julie tries to escape, but since there are too many zombies, he takes her back to keep her safe. He is also able to start talking very little. He tries to give her a name, but can’t remember his name; they end up agreeing his name will be R. He promises her he will take her home in a few days.

A few fun days go by, R’s heart begins to beat, and he can talk better to her. She however wants to go home, so the two are trying to leave but the zombies get in the way. R’s friend begins to feel, and helps them escape. The boneys, a group of zombies gone evil want them though. The two hide out in a house where R watches Julie undress, and then he tells her he ate her old boyfriend. The next morning after R actually dreamed, but Julie is gone. R decides to go home thinking this whole trip was dumb, and he should have known better.

He bumps into his friend who has begun to talk along with all the other zombies. He tells R to go get her and warn her bonys are going to attack the sealed safety area for humans. They all head over there, R sneaks in and finds Julie, and she had been missing him and is happy to see him. R tells her what has happened, and that he needs to show everyone he is changing. Julie and her friend put some make up on R and take him to see Julie’s father. Her father still wants to kill him but the three escapes.

Meanwhile the boneys are closing in on the humans and so the humans have decided to go out and fight them. To their surprise the zombies are fighting them already and helping them. They fight with them to stop the boneys.

Julie and R are also fighting boneys but are cornered at a broken balcony. R grabs onto Julie and falls backward into the shallow water beneath them. R hits the cement bottom but Julie floats up. She pulls him up, and surprisingly his skin is coloured, his lips are a normal colour and his eyes turn from that grey to his bright blue. R has turned human! Julie and R kiss. Just then Julie’s father shoots R in the chest and he bleeds. That’s enough proof for him and so they take him with Julie back to their home.

From then on all the zombies turn slowly into humans with the help from them, and the boneys are all killed. The cement wall is broken and everything goes back to normal. THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Movie Review:

This movie was very cute. A perfect teen love movie with a zombie twist. I absouloutly loved the whole romance R had with the human, and him being a zombie, it was just very cute and I loved how it un folded. I also really loved the funny parts. I couldn’t stop laughing every time R tried to communicate with Julie, and then him talking in his head was really funny and cute. I also just really loved his personality. I loved how he was this huge collector, how he wanted to be human, and how he was depressed with his life. I loved watching him shuffle around his everyday life.

Some other things I really loved about this movie were the actor, Nicholas Hoult. He is just so cute, I love him, and he suited the part so well. I would love to see him take on the role of a vampire. But I wasn’t too crazy about the rest of the cast. I don’t like Teresa Palmer very much, nor did I like her friend, I thought her to be ugly, and her first boyfriend Perry, looked ugly too.

Overall this was a very cute movie that I enjoyed very much. I loved the whole story line, and the ending of all the zombies turning human was a perfect ending. This is deffinatly a movie you should check out.
