Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings

Movie 3: Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings (2011) ‘These hillbillies are going crazy’

Too many characters to keep track with, so bear with me.

My rating: 3.5 stars

Movie Summary:

            Before we are introduced to the main characters we see how the three cannibals were placed in this sanatorium at a young age and how they escaped and all the crazy people killed all the doctors because they would torture patients with shock and crazy stuff to make them sane again. They play this ridiculous music while the patients are dancing and killing the doctors and nurses. We even get to see how the kill the head doctor by pulling his arms and legs out.

            Right after that we are introduced to a couple having sex in the same room with a lesbian couple also having sex, on the other side. It goes back and forth between them until another friend comes in and calls them all whores, (or something like that I cant remember).

            After that the group of friends go out snowmobiling during their winter break but a sign is covered off and they make a wrong turn! ( da da da da!! Scary music) They get out of the cold and find shelter in the abandoned sanatorium. They explore the abandoned hospital and then find some gross hospital beds to sleep on. They all call in for the night but one of the guys in the group sneak out and watch as the lesbian couple start having sex. He however is killed right after by the maniac cannibals.

            The remaining friends then find his remains and freak out, they figure out they are not alone and then go to this theatre room, where one of the girls is hanged with barbed wire. Her boyfriend tries to save her but just ends up covered in her blood until her head falls off. They run outside but all the snow mobiles have no gas except one, so the one girl with a jacket decides to go off and find help. The others go back in to stop the crazies.

            While in the hospital the cannibals take one of the guys where they begin to skin him and deep fry his skin with vegetables. They are all happy and eating him. It is very torturing to watch.

They then capture the maniacs in their old cell, but they escape again. After that the girls accidentally kill one of their boyfriends thinking it was a cannibal with a bag over his head. At last only four girls remain. They are digging a hole through a snow covered window to escape, but when they are escaping one of the girls is pulled back and killed. The other three girls go running, but the cannibals took their mobiles and start chasing after them. One of the girls is ran over with the snow mobile, as her blood is everywhere, kind of like a snow blower blowing blood.

At the end the last two girls take off on one of the mobiles, but their victory is cut short when they drive through a thin wire and their heads are cut off, and go flying in the sun. THE END!!!!

My Review:

            So I haven’t seen Wrong Turn 2 and 3 yet but 4 was a lot better then the first. The blood and gore scenes are a big improvement, they are gross but still funny (to me). When they tear of the doctor’s limbs, it was awesome to watch. It was slow and torturing, a perfect scene for a movie like this.

            Some things I didn’t like were the three sex scenes, they made no sense whatsoever and were not needed.  Also the acting was TERRIBLE!! It was so bad, that when they were dying, I was laughing because they were so bad, except the cannibals of course they were the best.

            I also really like how no one survives. Crazy movies like this should never have a happily ever after ending. Also I found all the killing scenes were great. When they were skinning the guy, it was gross but at the same time entertaining to watch.

            So this movie was actually good, but the acting and the story line, which I still find confusing with the cannibals history, and sex scenes lowered the rating. It was cheesy at some points but still very entertaining to watch. I would recommend this movie to people with a strong stomach, and hey it’s a great movie to watch at a sleepover, that’s what I did, and it was defiantly worth it. Wrong Turn 4, gets a clap!
